A new series...
As of thursday, i will no longer be living in boston. i do not intend on losing any friendships. Point of this entry: starting next week, or the week after, i am going to update this every week. And, get this, i will actually write things of significance. I figure i should put my writing degree to something. They will be articles of sorts about the week and they will be awesome. think of it as Sex in the City with guys and no sex, and no city. Basically it is called In The. And, like any good series of articles im going to change my user info.
Things i did this week:
Worked.
I worked for a week at West Elm, an IKEA of sorts. The job consisted of unloading tractor trailers and moving furniture for the opening. The store is located in Burlington, and i am in Boston. I had to be there at 8am, thus i had to wake up at 5:45 and take a train and bus and then walk. I worked til 7ish. It was brutal. I would come home, covered in dirt and dead, sleep, and then do it again. The people were cool. While unloading the trucks they would throw boxes (not always small) to make it faster. They were so awesome they never mentioned if there was a pillow in it or if it was a huge wooden thing and i got nailed a few times. but i did get to ride in a porsche with a suped up engine with nitro. it was horrifying.
