Our AC broke today.

For a few summers, my dad lived in Newfield, New Jersey and I really dreaded the visits because the house didn't have air conditioning. Now I feel like I'm a little kid in summer, with the windows open and music playing and fans blowing. All I need is some fresh blueberries or dirt on my feet and it'd be perfect.

Unfortunately, with the air going out, my mom is having a small break down. She had to leave because it was too hot, so she isn't here right now. She told me that I need to seriously think about what I'm going to do after graduation because she can't afford the house and all the things that need fixing. I said OK. I mean, I know I need to think about it but I'm not worried about it. I have options and I am ready to move out, so no big deal. She just gets really upset about things sometimes.

This week's theme at camp was Reality TV. One of the clinics was Talent Show, so all week long the kids put together their talents, which included singing, dancing, and karate, and last night they had a talent show for their parents. I didn't get to go but I heard it was really great! Since that was pretty much a wrap-up of the clinic, we didn't have anything really planned for clinic time today but one of the counselors came up with the idea to make a Hollywood Walk of Fame type thing with the kids names in the stars. It turned out to be so wonderful! Today's day theme was Fear Factor, so I made lesson plans for a fun, messy afternoon. I wish I could show pictures of all the kids, but I think that is illegal. Here are some pictures from today though. :)

Zoe and I shared a sidewalk. She made the tiny footprint with the side of her hand.

Worms in a pile of dirt, toenails, and dead flies!

In completely unrelated news, I received this on facebook from an old coworker, who is 30:

"Ya know , way back , when we worked together. In my eyes , you were a very sweet girl, plus I thought you were very good looking..... ok , I thought you were hot. Still do for that matter, but besides that... How are things going ? You seem to be doing well.Anyways.... Hope all is well and hope to talk to ya soon!"

Blech.
