this is fricken LOOOONG lol.
I just got back from the live not long ago and my neck feels like it's undergone serious abuse =o=; Don't think I can work my neck and shoulders for the next few days... Oh god. Anyway, gonna write up the reports before I forget everything (though I'm exhausted right now haha) XD As usual, lots of spazzing/capslock/etc; you've been warned. Also, while I tried to look at everyone, I usually end up focusing more on Aoi/Ruki/Uruha XD
the GazettE Tour '09 -DIM SCENE- @大阪厚生年金会館
7.28 (Tue) Day 1
I was seated on the 3/F, front row, on Aoi's side. So even though it was a little high up, I had a good clear view of the whole stage, and also had the railing in front of me to hold onto XD And best part was having nobody in front of me to block my view XD
The stage set-up was pretty cool, there were these projections on the backdrop of multiple smaller screens that kinda look like laptop screens or tv screens (of varying sizes), all showing the same animations. The animations varied with each song, some included abstract, flowy patterns, while others were more like images of people, etc. The small stage which Ruki stands on also had 3 small tv screens below it, again showing the same animation/images.
-SE- 「剥離」
During the opening, the stage was completely covered by a large screen that had trees projected on them (similar to the DIM album cover). Then white lights would flash according to the rhythm, and the silhouettes of the GazettE could be seen.
THE INVISIBLE WALL
They started with their new song and it was really powerful listening to it live. Okay, so this is actually my first time at a gaze live (if you don't count PS Carnival) so I was kinda inwardly screaming and experiencing brainmelt seeing them all in front of my eyes lol. Ruki's voice is amazing, he is really the best live singer EVAR. And Aoi... Aoi can wiggle, oh yes. He wiggles to the rhythm 8D
Nobody really did any furi (hand actions) here since the song is not that fast and I guess since it's new nobody came up with any furi yet.
Maggots
The headbanging began immediately 8D Kinda came as a surprise, actually, wasn't expecting a non-DIM song so fast. But it was great of course, and I love love love hearing Aoi/Rei/Uru shout XD
OGRE
More headbanging!! There was actually coordinated furi and movements for this XDDD Must be because it's a heavy song, so everyone kinda gets into it at the same pace. I still found the part where Ruki spelt out "infection" kinda awkward though; didn't really know what to do lollll. But even though OGRE isn't my fav song, I have to say after experiencing it live, I love the crazy fast rhythm & love the shouts.
DISTRESS AND COMA
A sudden cooldown here XD;; Not sure if it's me or what, but the setlist for the 1st day was slightly.. I don't know, I think it could've been paced a bit better. Even though I love all the performances lol. D&C was performed perfectly, no complaints, Ruki's voice is amazing (sorry all I can do is repeat myself lol).

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! When I saw the accoustic guitar set up on Aoi's side I was already going ASDFAKGL:AgAFA and omgggggggg I love how this song starts. It's like total silence right after D&C and then you hear a sound that resembles somebody turning on the radio/switching plugs/or something, and then the song just starts with Ruki's voice singing strongly and completely in sync with Aoi's accoustic guitar opening. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Goddddddddd I love this song sooooooo much and I'm just so happy to hear it live. Ruki really sings sooo well, his voice is never offkey (even though his whispers get drowned out since the instrumentals are pretty loud during the live) and I LOVE THE MELODY OF THIS SONG, esp those orchestral parts in the background and the guitar parts. So beautiful.

THIS. SONG. IS. EPIC. I mean, I liked the CD version alot already, though it may sound a bit unusual, or as Uruha mentioned, "maniacal" XD But this song really needs to be heard LIVE. Omg... the instrumentals are just EPIC when you hear it live, the whole song is brought up to a new level.

AOI IS REALLY SEXY. OH GOD.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS SONG DOES TO HIM BUT IT'S LIKE.... ANIMAL AOI COMES OUT 8DDDDDD
oh my god, if he keeps arching his back like THAT i think i'll just... die of blood loss one day.
And I loooove how Ruki sings the "Ohoh oohhhhh" part (I guess it's the bridge?), it sounds really powerful live, I think it really holds the song together so well. Then Uruha does the sexysexy guitar lines which I love so frickin' much, and then the shouting/chanting chorus part follows... SRSLY I LOVE THIS SONG, OMG, KUDOS TO YOU URUHA ♥
A MOTH UNDER THE SKIN
omgomgomggomg I looooove this song to death, it's my most repeated song on the album... sexy bass lines but EVEN SEXIER GUITAR LINES AOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII -EXPLODES- gosh this song is so much fun, I felt like I was on an adrenaline rush and during the chorus (which is soooo catchy) I just kept JUMPING JUMPING lol but this song is really too short, it was over way too fast!!

WITHOUT A TRACE
Really really beautiful. There were three spotlights from above the stage that pooled down in a turquoise color on Aoi, Ruki and Uruha. Aoi and Uruha had their accoustic guitars and I don't know, the whole set-up was just really kakkoii... and of course I got weak in the knees seeing+hearing Aoi and Uru play accoustic in sync (cuz I'm a fangirl like that rofl). Ruki sang this with great emotion, I loved it.
Except.
He sang the chorus part too early LOLLL then he kinda stopped himself and for a moment I thought he forgot the lyrics or seomthing... then he sang the same line again XDD But the whole song was so good, I'll forgive you Ruki ♥
泣ヶ原
OHHHHHHHHH MY GODDDDDDD. My heart was going to give out I think... the lights dimmed and there were these spotlights that shone on Ruki in narrow streams from the extreme left and right sides of the stage, creating a kind of an intersection/cross, with Ruki in the middle of the lights. The stage was kinda dark but glowing red/orange/purple. Very cool, very pretty, and arghhhh the song is soooo beautiful performed live, I started getting teary ;_; This song is just mindblowing... Ruki sang this so wonderfully. The only complaint is that at the end, there's a part where Ruki repeats "watashi wo koroshita anata ga iru"... in the CD version he repeats this several times and then it gets cut off suddenly. Well, during the live, Ruki kept repeated several times even after the music had stopped, and it got a little much actually XD;; I guess it's difficult to control when to stop... but at least he managed to stop fashionably lol cuz he kinda fell on his knees (the stage was almost in complete darkness by then) and then suddenly you hear a low THUD, the sound of his mic dropping and hence cutting off his voice. Kinda cool, really, hehe.
DIM SCENE
One epic song after another. I must say that I wasn't really able to fully appreciate this song till I heard it live. My god, the guitars especially... so haunting and beautiful, I had goosebumps. Such a great song, mellow and beautiful and sad, yet strong at the same time. And Uruha's hands were flying and strumming so fast ♥
AGONY
WAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! everyone SCREAMED when the opening bars of AGONY began XDD this song is sooo fun and Ruki teh Rapper totally does his thang rofllll. Much jumping and moshing \8D/

this is my 2nd time hearing Discharge live (the first being at PS Carnival) and I have to say... I finally got to feel the real energy and headbang to it. Omg. I don't think I've ever headbanged so hard.
For people who enjoy headbanging --> It's such a great song to headbang to, especially if you kinda swing your head in a circular motion XDDD which is what I did, and srsly, the background music kinda... swings along in your ears, I felt like the sounds were swirling in my head, as if this song was designed exactly for that sort of headbanging XDD Really sounds and feels different than just listening to it from the CD. Argh..

There was a point where Rei, Aoi and Uru attempt to "outjump" one another 8D To see who could jump higher rofl they just randomly started doing that in the middle of the perf and people stopped headbanging to laugh and clap cuz it was TOO CUTE.

My seat for today's show was on the 1/F, Row O (which is sorta in the middle I guess) and on Aoi's side again, though strictly speaking I was actually directly facing Reita. 1/F is definitely way more fun although there were heads and hands in my view XD;; Since many of the songs were performed on the 28th already, I'll try not to repeat myself too much lol

As soon as they left the stage... all the fans instantly started shouting for another encore.
And actually nobody knew if there would be another encore because so far at the other tour venues there's only been one encore, and I guess one would only expect the final at Saitama to have 2 encores.
But the energy tonight was just sooooo good, both the fans and the band itself.
Everyone was clapping and shouting in sync, the voices were so loud, it felt really good (esp with all the recent complaints on mixi about disunity during encores...) even if there couldn't be a 2nd encore.
BUT! OMG THE IMPOSSIBLE HAPPENED..

Only after several minutes, the GazettE re-appeared on stage.

god... i love them so. they're really so good to us tonight!! and Osaka really has great energy... it was such an amazing amazing show. they sang Ruder at the very end, even though it was just one song, it was really special for everyone tonight I think. they probably didn't plan to do an EN2 in the first place, it felt like they really just rushed back out onto the stage because our voices reached them.... my god... I feel really happy and lucky to have been a part of this!! ♥
Even though I was sad that this was my first and last time seeing them.... it ended on a really happy note, and this will really be a great memory for me... My gosh, I wish tonight could be made into a DVD. Haha.

Ruki went to Stage L during Linda, spits water at crowd XD He was soooo friendly and kept grinning at everyone
Aoi also high-fived some of the fans 8DD
Then when Uruha came to Stage L too, he sorta fell off the stage lol and was like standing directly infront of the front row people *__* But he got lifted back up pretty quickly lol. Gosh he's sooo beautiful. After that he goes over to Stage R and attempts to spit water Ruki-style lol but FAILS. hahahaha omgg... he kinda... tossed his head and spit the water out but kinda ended up having it all showering over his own face ROFLLLLLLLL DORK ♥

the GazettE Tour '09 -DIM SCENE- @大阪厚生年金会館
7.28 (Tue) Day 1
I was seated on the 3/F, front row, on Aoi's side. So even though it was a little high up, I had a good clear view of the whole stage, and also had the railing in front of me to hold onto XD And best part was having nobody in front of me to block my view XD
The stage set-up was pretty cool, there were these projections on the backdrop of multiple smaller screens that kinda look like laptop screens or tv screens (of varying sizes), all showing the same animations. The animations varied with each song, some included abstract, flowy patterns, while others were more like images of people, etc. The small stage which Ruki stands on also had 3 small tv screens below it, again showing the same animation/images.

During the opening, the stage was completely covered by a large screen that had trees projected on them (similar to the DIM album cover). Then white lights would flash according to the rhythm, and the silhouettes of the GazettE could be seen.
THE INVISIBLE WALL
They started with their new song and it was really powerful listening to it live. Okay, so this is actually my first time at a gaze live (if you don't count PS Carnival) so I was kinda inwardly screaming and experiencing brainmelt seeing them all in front of my eyes lol. Ruki's voice is amazing, he is really the best live singer EVAR. And Aoi... Aoi can wiggle, oh yes. He wiggles to the rhythm 8D
Nobody really did any furi (hand actions) here since the song is not that fast and I guess since it's new nobody came up with any furi yet.
Maggots
The headbanging began immediately 8D Kinda came as a surprise, actually, wasn't expecting a non-DIM song so fast. But it was great of course, and I love love love hearing Aoi/Rei/Uru shout XD
OGRE
More headbanging!! There was actually coordinated furi and movements for this XDDD Must be because it's a heavy song, so everyone kinda gets into it at the same pace. I still found the part where Ruki spelt out "infection" kinda awkward though; didn't really know what to do lollll. But even though OGRE isn't my fav song, I have to say after experiencing it live, I love the crazy fast rhythm & love the shouts.
DISTRESS AND COMA
A sudden cooldown here XD;; Not sure if it's me or what, but the setlist for the 1st day was slightly.. I don't know, I think it could've been paced a bit better. Even though I love all the performances lol. D&C was performed perfectly, no complaints, Ruki's voice is amazing (sorry all I can do is repeat myself lol).

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! When I saw the accoustic guitar set up on Aoi's side I was already going ASDFAKGL:AgAFA and omgggggggg I love how this song starts. It's like total silence right after D&C and then you hear a sound that resembles somebody turning on the radio/switching plugs/or something, and then the song just starts with Ruki's voice singing strongly and completely in sync with Aoi's accoustic guitar opening. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Goddddddddd I love this song sooooooo much and I'm just so happy to hear it live. Ruki really sings sooo well, his voice is never offkey (even though his whispers get drowned out since the instrumentals are pretty loud during the live) and I LOVE THE MELODY OF THIS SONG, esp those orchestral parts in the background and the guitar parts. So beautiful.

THIS. SONG. IS. EPIC. I mean, I liked the CD version alot already, though it may sound a bit unusual, or as Uruha mentioned, "maniacal" XD But this song really needs to be heard LIVE. Omg... the instrumentals are just EPIC when you hear it live, the whole song is brought up to a new level.

AOI IS REALLY SEXY. OH GOD.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS SONG DOES TO HIM BUT IT'S LIKE.... ANIMAL AOI COMES OUT 8DDDDDD

And I loooove how Ruki sings the "Ohoh oohhhhh" part (I guess it's the bridge?), it sounds really powerful live, I think it really holds the song together so well. Then Uruha does the sexysexy guitar lines which I love so frickin' much, and then the shouting/chanting chorus part follows... SRSLY I LOVE THIS SONG, OMG, KUDOS TO YOU URUHA ♥
A MOTH UNDER THE SKIN
omgomgomggomg I looooove this song to death, it's my most repeated song on the album... sexy bass lines but EVEN SEXIER GUITAR LINES AOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII -EXPLODES- gosh this song is so much fun, I felt like I was on an adrenaline rush and during the chorus (which is soooo catchy) I just kept JUMPING JUMPING lol but this song is really too short, it was over way too fast!!

WITHOUT A TRACE
Really really beautiful. There were three spotlights from above the stage that pooled down in a turquoise color on Aoi, Ruki and Uruha. Aoi and Uruha had their accoustic guitars and I don't know, the whole set-up was just really kakkoii... and of course I got weak in the knees seeing+hearing Aoi and Uru play accoustic in sync (cuz I'm a fangirl like that rofl). Ruki sang this with great emotion, I loved it.
Except.
He sang the chorus part too early LOLLL then he kinda stopped himself and for a moment I thought he forgot the lyrics or seomthing... then he sang the same line again XDD But the whole song was so good, I'll forgive you Ruki ♥
泣ヶ原
OHHHHHHHHH MY GODDDDDDD. My heart was going to give out I think... the lights dimmed and there were these spotlights that shone on Ruki in narrow streams from the extreme left and right sides of the stage, creating a kind of an intersection/cross, with Ruki in the middle of the lights. The stage was kinda dark but glowing red/orange/purple. Very cool, very pretty, and arghhhh the song is soooo beautiful performed live, I started getting teary ;_; This song is just mindblowing... Ruki sang this so wonderfully. The only complaint is that at the end, there's a part where Ruki repeats "watashi wo koroshita anata ga iru"... in the CD version he repeats this several times and then it gets cut off suddenly. Well, during the live, Ruki kept repeated several times even after the music had stopped, and it got a little much actually XD;; I guess it's difficult to control when to stop... but at least he managed to stop fashionably lol cuz he kinda fell on his knees (the stage was almost in complete darkness by then) and then suddenly you hear a low THUD, the sound of his mic dropping and hence cutting off his voice. Kinda cool, really, hehe.
DIM SCENE
One epic song after another. I must say that I wasn't really able to fully appreciate this song till I heard it live. My god, the guitars especially... so haunting and beautiful, I had goosebumps. Such a great song, mellow and beautiful and sad, yet strong at the same time. And Uruha's hands were flying and strumming so fast ♥
AGONY
WAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! everyone SCREAMED when the opening bars of AGONY began XDD this song is sooo fun and Ruki teh Rapper totally does his thang rofllll. Much jumping and moshing \8D/

this is my 2nd time hearing Discharge live (the first being at PS Carnival) and I have to say... I finally got to feel the real energy and headbang to it. Omg. I don't think I've ever headbanged so hard.
For people who enjoy headbanging --> It's such a great song to headbang to, especially if you kinda swing your head in a circular motion XDDD which is what I did, and srsly, the background music kinda... swings along in your ears, I felt like the sounds were swirling in my head, as if this song was designed exactly for that sort of headbanging XDD Really sounds and feels different than just listening to it from the CD. Argh..

And actually nobody knew if there would be another encore because so far at the other tour venues there's only been one encore, and I guess one would only expect the final at Saitama to have 2 encores.
But the energy tonight was just sooooo good, both the fans and the band itself.
Everyone was clapping and shouting in sync, the voices were so loud, it felt really good (esp with all the recent complaints on mixi about disunity during encores...) even if there couldn't be a 2nd encore.
BUT! OMG THE IMPOSSIBLE HAPPENED..

god... i love them so. they're really so good to us tonight!! and Osaka really has great energy... it was such an amazing amazing show. they sang Ruder at the very end, even though it was just one song, it was really special for everyone tonight I think. they probably didn't plan to do an EN2 in the first place, it felt like they really just rushed back out onto the stage because our voices reached them.... my god... I feel really happy and lucky to have been a part of this!! ♥
Even though I was sad that this was my first and last time seeing them.... it ended on a really happy note, and this will really be a great memory for me... My gosh, I wish tonight could be made into a DVD. Haha.

Then when Uruha came to Stage L too, he sorta fell off the stage lol and was like standing directly infront of the front row people *__* But he got lifted back up pretty quickly lol. Gosh he's sooo beautiful. After that he goes over to Stage R and attempts to spit water Ruki-style lol but FAILS. hahahaha omgg... he kinda... tossed his head and spit the water out but kinda ended up having it all showering over his own face ROFLLLLLLLL DORK ♥

Words cannot describe how much I LOVE Aoi's scream. It's like...sex? 8D AHAHHAAHAH.
