And as we roll to the end of June, things are still busy.
When we last left our heroes, they were dealing with painting the interior of the house and the Art Exhibitions Manager, exiting Stage Left.
The interior of the house still needs the door frames and window sills painted. A task made more difficult with the additional duties thrown upon me at work (which have to do with the Exiting Art Exhibitions Manager) and a few mechanical things breaking down (which demanded our attention). A majority of the downstairs is back in order, so we're not suffering with the extra mess in the kitchen. We still need to sort though a bunch of stuff so we can get rid of some more clutter.
The Exiting Art Exhibitions Manager has spent the better part of a week being happy that he's leaving, playing video games (we have Videotopia as the 1st Floor Exhibit), and doing only what he needs to do in order to transition his duties to the remaining Art Floor staff ... which would be the Exhibitions Supervisor (who's been on vacation since before this happened), the Curator/Registrar (who's still dealing with her daughter's illness and started a two-week vacation on Thursday), and me.
So, I've been working with a huge learning curve for the better part of a week without really knowing if I am taking over most of the Exiting Art Exhibitions Manager's duties, as well as coming up to speed on those things that need covering because the Curator is taking her vacation time.
And I would continue expounding on some of the developments that have taken place at work, but it's getting late and I'm scheduled to work all day today (Saturday). I'd like to think that I'll be able to get back to this later in the day or some time over this weekend, but things just haven't been working out that way. (I taped off a door frame and window sill earlier today with the intention of painting them, but needed to lay down because I had some major neck adjustments at the chiropractor earlier in the day.)
I guess I'll just get back to this when I get back to it.
