67. Finish up the garden space beside the garage
I just did this one today. It cost me a blister on my right hand (from where the wooden trowel handle kept digging into my palm while I was sifting the rocks from the dirt), but I've got a lovely space to putz around in now!
I also spent some of my time picking caterpillars off my green beans, sunflowers, and corn when I needed a break from rock sifting. I picked off five different types of caterpillars, two types were of the fuzzy variety. I've got to go banging around in the garage to see if I've still got any caterpillar repellent left over from last season. It's one of those Jerry Baker au natural concoctions that did a decent job ... when I remembered to use it.
My sweet peas are about to give out because of the heat. They didn't produce enough at one time for us to get a second harvest off of them, but I will get enough to seed them again in September.
I'm currently working on my first reading goal, made more difficult by the manga I checked out of the library and the stack of research books still lurking on the dining room table.
If things are slower later on this week, I might start on the "wash and detail the Miata" goal and the "make a studio space" goal.
