state of the annie-mayz watchin' - summer 2011
- Hanasaku Iroha: I'm getting kind of fed up with HanaIro. The art is cute, but the story is kinda blech. Slice of life only works if you like a character, any character, enough to invest the time into his/her story. But I really don't like any of them. Will probably drop this one.
- Mawaru Penguindrum: on the other hand, this one is getting interesting! And it only took 6 episodes! Which is half of the 13 you had to sit through for Utena, haha. He managed to make me feel sorry for Ringo, of all people. She's still seriously messed up, but I'm starting to get the "bigger picture" sense that makes me want to unravel the mystery.
- Deadman Wonderland: this is just a reminder for me to finish the last two eps, because I keep forgetting to do that.
What else should I watch? I heard good things about Tiger and Bunny. Maybe that's worth checking out.
