i must have missed something but did Kuon do anything to Nanao's body beside stripping him as a way of finding out what's wrong with Nanao?

ETA:
and while i don't agree to some who were disappointed with Nanao's lack of self-esteem but i think and as i can see it, they are more disappointed of what Nanao has become because his character was this confident, unfazed, self-proclaimed uke and proud of it when he was first introduced. he is an IDEAL uke to most because BL is just overcrowded with those typical uke tropes. while some appreciate Nanao's complexity but there are some who are not that accommodating with that idea and considers it a downgrade, forgetting that as much as Nanao was insecure but he was making progress in the first two chapters of Mujihi na Karada albeit bit by bit. it is just that what Satonaka did to him is something overwhelming and traumatizing to the point that he has to break up with the person he has ever longed for. he just can't right now and he is back to square one and it is sad that some are just too shortsighted to see that.

I found this post form tumblr, hope you don't mind me commenting tokkei_12

He didn't do anything but strip him, buuut there is a mysterious lack of a scene showing him actually leaving so I worry what she might put in the tankoubon... Did he really just up and leave when Nanao said he wanted to break up? I know Kuon has grown, but I'm not sure he's THAT mature quite yet.

Re: Nanao

Totally agree about Nanao rolly_chan. It's really not that he's the same person he was 2 volumes ago and has not grown at all. The saddest shit is HE did grow, trust and learn to show his true self to Kuon and then his greatest fears (that he's "slutty" and in general a dirty and terrible person) came true to him. He showed a side of himself to Kuon he never ever wanted him to see. Out of fear and loathing he decided to push away the person he loves. It's not his fault (he probably feels it is though) and even he knows Kuon wouldn't blame him, but that doesn't change what he feels. To expect him to be magically confident and not hate and blame himself a day or so after he was sexually assaulted is beyond ridiculous. A perfectly well adjusted and confident person would be going through the same issues, let alone someone who already had self esteem issues.

It will be some solace to him that he wasn't actually raped, but I really don't think overall it's going to change anything because it just brought back all the terrible things he thought about himself and was learning to move past back into the forefront. I've seen some comment asking why he's being mean to Kuon, why he won't talk to him and tell him the truth... and really I love and adore Kuon, especially this chapter, but it's not really about Kuon. Kuon was not upset about what Nanao was saying because it not because believed it, but because he knew something terrible had happened to Nanao and he wouldn't tell him what. You can see the one time he losing his temper is when Nanao degrades himself again.

Nanao's growth (and Kuon's help) actually will help him move forward from this I'm sure. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Anyway, Satonaka is disgusting and I truly do agree with this that was written in the commentary

. Asking Nanao to be angry with/insult/abuse him… that sounds more like Satonaka faked raping Nanao mainly to get Nanao’s attention

Yep. What he wanted was attention, one way or the other. He did nothing to help their relationship, but he wants a reaction out of Nanao. You can see that when he's telling Nanao to be upset with him, but Nanao won't and ignored him so he tried another angle with putting the glasses on him. Did he do that to let the truth out and help? nope. He did it to see how Nanao would react to it imo.

i don't even want to remotely think that that scenario might have actually happened and that Kuon did something to Nanao to re-establish his claim on him in a way but i do think that Kuon is mature enough not to do anything untoward to a sick person. it is apparent when the next time he saw Nanao, he asked about his welfare first and the flow of their conversation is most likely what could have been the continuation of that scene in Nanao's bedroom. so it is indeed possible that an overwhelmed Kuon just up and left. i preferred it that way.

Actually, you are probably right since I remembered he did say he wouldn't do something to a sleeping person (when Nanao was asleep on his bed) in the MnO extra pages, so I don't think he'd so something to a sick and really upset person either. He was worried about his health too the next day as well like you said. Plus I think Kuon has grown a person since then and since last volume when he did the whole screw Nanao's brains out in the entry way of his house because he talked to Nanao's ex thing... Ah I really disliked that scene. I was having momentary flashbacks and concerned he'd act the same way, which is unfair of me. Kuon would never do something to Nanao if he truly did not want it and then he obviously did not want him around so he probably just left. I would have loved to actually see his thoughts right after though.

Hi!
I can understand why those fans can think that of Nanao but to me, Nanao is a complex guy who's able to display different faces according to the situation and the people he's with.
I think he was always insecure when it comes to feelings like being truly loved for who he was (probably it all started with what happened with his senpai back then) but at the same time, he's able to show this playful, confident facade. I am sure the playful side belongs really to him but the confident side is to hide, maybe overcome in a way his insecurities.
And it's this mix that makes him fascinating to me.
It was interesting reading your thoughts, I love this series and couple a lot and it's nice finding more people who also loves them :D
