Let's Meet Again! ~Don't Forget Me~
Jaejoong/Yoochun
Their first "Hello" and (maybe?) last "Good-bye" all within 24 hours. A story about losing what you just discovered.

Right now, I want to fly to a world with you in it
Even though I want to see you so much... I miss you so much...
I'm waiting for you...'>

At an old seaside cafe Yoochun had his cappuccino in one hand, a pen in another and his notebook in front of him. He wasn't a writer but he was an artist of sorts. When he isn't busy in his studio he'd come down to this beach cabin turned coffee house. It had the perfect view of the ocean. Along with the vast blue sky, the sound of the crashing waves, the ripples of glistening sand, and the gentle sea breeze Yoochun had proclaimed this his favorite place to seek inspiration.

As usual Yoochun was sitting in the middle of the long bench against the wall of the cafe where he could face the big wide open window that viewed the ocean. Even though the scene doesn't change he never cease to be mesmerized by it all. Yoochun smiled and wrote a couple lines in his notebook.

While taking a sip of his cappuccino then placing it back down on the plate Yoochun glanced over at the person who just sat down on the table next to his. It was another regular customer. Ever since the first time Yoochun came to this cafe, about two months ago, he had noticed this person - this guy - who seem to always take the table next to his. Yoochun thought he was a doll the first time he saw him. He had a kinda pretty face for a guy, but looked a bit cold. This being the reason Yoochun never gathered the courage to speak to the other. It would be awkward if he won't talk back, Yoochun thought. However, it hadn't stopped him from watching him from the corner of his eye a couple times.

From casual observation Yoochun could tell this person liked music because he always has these headphones over his ears when he comes into the cafe. At the same time this guy would be reading a book or magazine, or be writing on a sort of notebook while drinking a frappuccino. And before long he'd fall asleep with his head on the table over his book still with his headphones on his head until the cafe closes (or so he heard from the staffs). On this day it was no different.

Yoochun was on his second cappuccino happily scribbling in his notebook. He was finishing the lines "... Baby sky All the dreams and hopes made of your eyes ..." when something heavy plopped down on his shoulder. He looked over to the side and found the guy with the headphones asleep on his shoulder. Yoochun tried to lean his own body to the opposite side only to cause the other to move with him. Then he shrugged his shoulder a couple times to jiggle the other's head to wake him.

The guy finally awoke, lifting his head up from Yoochun shoulder and looked around in a daze. His eyes met up with Yoochun's and they both grinned at each other awkwardly and a bit embarrassed.

"Sorry," he apologized to Yoochun as he straightened himself up and began putting his things away in his bag, including his headphones.

"It's okay," Yoochun said, still grinning for some reason.

The guy looked like he was ready to go but stuck around and started to talk to Yoochun. "What are you writing?"

Yoochun was surprised by this sudden change of occurrence and had to take a second to think of what he was doing. "I, um, I'm writing a song."

"Really?" Suddenly, the other slid closer to Yoochun. "What's it about?"

"I'm not sure yet." Yoochun laughed nervously. "It's not finished."

"Can I read it?" The other asked.

Yoochun usually didn't show his work to others until it was near finished. But he was curious as to what this person was going to think of it. What would his reaction be? Yoochun wondered. "Eh.... sure." So he handed his notebook to him.

Yoochun watched him as he read the words in wrote in the pages. He was really nervous and starting to regret his decision of showing his unfinished scribbles to a total stranger. And then he saw a smile appear on the guy's face. Yoochun took a breath at the sight. So this is how a doll smiles, Yoochun thought.

The other turned his attention from the notebook and caught Yoochun staring at him but he didn't seem to be bothered. Instead, his smiled to got bigger and he introduced himself. "I'm Jaejoong by the way."

Smiling back. "I'm Yoochun."

The conversation starting from the lyrics in a notebook spanned to music, to hobbies, to other interests, to current events and to whatever else that could possibly to talked about that usually doesn't have anything to do with the first thing that started the conversation. Yoochun and Jaejoong talked until one of the cafe's staff had to kick them out at closing time.

After separating Yoochun got home feeling happy with himself for finally talking to someone he hadn't been able to for months. It struck him to write something so he dug in his bag for his notebook but it wasn't there. He checked a few more times then realized it was really gone. Maybe it's at the cafe, Yoochun thought.

The next morning Yoochun rushed to the cafe. The first place he went was the long bench but it was a clean. Then he went up to one of the staffs wiping a table.

"Excuse me, have you seen or found a notebook around? I think I lost it here last night." Yoochun told the staff.

"Oh, is your name Yoochun?" the staffer asked.

"Um, yes. How'd you know?"

The staffer began walling to the front counter while Yoochun followed. "Well, early this morning someone was waiting outside the cafe before we opened. He said he had found someone's notebook at our cafe and wanted us to return it back to a person named Yoochun." The staffer pull out the notebook and handed it to Yoochun. "Here."

Yoochun scanned it to be sure it's his, and it was. "Who returned it?"

"I don't know. He didn't leave his name."

Yoochun could kind of guess who it was so he let it go. "That's fine. Thank you."

"You're welcome."

When the staffer was back to her work Yoochun flipped through his notebook again something fell out. It was folded piece of paper he didn't recognized. He unfolded and it appeared to be short letter.

It wrote:

Did you guess who found your notebook? If you did you're a genius. But it's kind of obvious isn't it? Anyway, sorry I couldn't return this to you in person. Right now I'm on a flight to Japan. I won't be back for a while. Although, I hope we can to talk to each other again like yesterday. I wish I had talked to you sooner, but you always seem to be in your own world. I didn't want to disturb you. Even though in the end I did anyway. I wrote something in the back of your notebook. I hope you don't mind, and maybe even like it.

P.S. Let's meet again!

Yoochun quickly flipped to the last page of his notebook. On the center top line it was titled "Wasurenaide" - meaning 'Don't Forget Me' in Japanese. But the rest were written in Hangul. It was a song.

I sit on my bed and think of you
It's alright even if I can't see you...
I miss you, but just this feeling is enough

The memories of you remain, they're so strong
I read a short message from you and it makes my chest tighten painfully
But I want to keep protecting your eternal happiness

I'll become the wind and wrap gently around you
Right now, I want to fly to a world with you in it
Even though I want to see you so much... I miss you so much...
I'm waiting for you, don't forget me

On the path we'd always walk, I felt your presence
Silently, I close my eyes and pray that it'll never disappear

Without acknowledging the things that hurt you deeply, you just kept on laughing and smiling
I'll always remember and cherish that
And I'll keep yelling out to the world, even if the words I use are but ordinary

The nights touched by you...
It's enough to break me; your fragrance hanging in the air and these feelings that build up, baby
So that this'll never end, I'll hold your hand even tighter
So that we'll never be separated...

I'll become the wind and wrap gently around you
Right now, I want to fly to a world with you in it
Even though I want to see you so much... I miss you so much...
I'm waiting for you... I'm waiting for you

I'm right here, don't forget me

By the last line Yoochun felt the lump in his throat and his eyes began to swell. He didn't know why this was happening so suddenly.
