So, my Retro-AR15 is as close to complete as it can get.
Now, I have parts. I just need to get some tools together, then I'll be able to build another entire rifle. It will be of the type used way back when dad was in service. That is to say: it will be lighter in weight, and have a slightly shorter stock. It would be ideal for a woman, actually. After I've gotten it together and functioning, I may look to sell it. I'll have two of the same rifle, essentially. If I can get back the money that I spent on it, I'll be happy. I'm confident that I'll be able to sell it, since I built it cheap, and I don't need to make a huge profit on it. Altogether, I should be able to sell it for $100 less than similar rifles are going for here. It's all about finding the right price point. People haven't been buying "black rifles" (so named for the color they usually are), but I think they'll start again if the price goes lower. Luckily, I still have leads on sources of parts at low enough prices to make this whole undertaking slightly less crazy. Everyone is making the parts, so the prices are coming down. I just have to scoop them up and hold them until there's a demand again. There's more, but that's all I'm writing for now.
