I can't tell the cuts from the blisters
No more AX 2010! D: This year's con went by so quickly. I do wish I'd taken more pictures; most were of the Durarara!! gathering(s). SPEAKING OF WHICH
So someone organized a DRRR!! gathering at AX on Friday, right? Well we were approached by a Celty and Shinra on Saturday (an amazing pair- the Celty actually typed on her cellphone!) who had apparently missed the gathering (Celty whacked Shinra for it and called him an idiot), so Heather and I as Izaya and Erika (s)trolled the LACC hallways, stopping every DRRR!! cosplayer to tell them about a second spontaneous gathering.
It was such a success! Sure, it wasn't as big and a few of the characters we'd had on Friday weren't there, but it was much more contained and not as hectic. We felt like the Dollars spreading the word! Trap!Celty showed up again. I was the only Erika, who aided the Shizuos in tipping the vending machine over the Izayas :D then we did some good old-fashioned cellphone-stomping and newsstand-lifting, plus a game of Erika-steals-the-neko!plushie-from-Izaya-and-passes-it-to-Kida. Then we saw some traffic signs in the crowd, a sure "sign" that there was a Shizuo cosplayer, so we all shouted across the lobby until they joined us - this happened twice, and everyone's heads turned xD
So I will have pictures! I have no pictures of myself, but fire_the_wing is sure to have them. We'll probably be compiling all of our pictures together and posting them on durarara.
The Masquerade was fun too! One of the skits was solo!Shizuo talking about how he hates violence, along with an Izaya voiceover that made him throw things across the stage (trajectory aided by ninja) and a Kasuka voiceover reminding him to control himself with a simple "Got Milk?" We're hoping we can pull together a Durarara!! skit for next year, most likely involving Erika's declaration of "It's like Boys Love!~" lyndon_head says if I get him to watch the anime then he'll be my Walker next year <3
