So today has been a very interesting day. I thought I was going to be ok with it being Valentine's day and not really caring about not having anyone to spend it with, but then everyone started getting gifts and being all romantic. I was getting sick so I went to the Rand for awhile and sat in the dark doing homework. Then I looked at the cast list for Romeo and Juliet. WHY! It's the most disappointing casting I have ever seen in my entire life. I really don't mind not being in a lead, it's just the people who got picked for leads that bothers me. Disclaimer: If you know anyone in the cast and I speak about them don't be offended. So Romeo... can't read Shakespeare for shit. He was terrinble I do not see how he could have even gotten a call back when he doesn't even understand how to read Shakespeare. PLENTY of people who didn't get a call back would have made for a much better Romeo. Hell even the girls who auditioned would make a more believable one. Juliet, well the girls in high school. WTF why? there are plenty of COLLEGE people who deserve to be in a COLLEGE production. high school kids need to be in high school productions only. BUT she was the best reader there that was a girl so I'm not too upset. ugh I can't talk about this anymore without getting pissed off. I have to go on stage soon so I'm going to wrap this up.
