I am reminded of how blessed I am to have such a wonderful home base. I love knowing that I have a nice home, with loving people, to come home to. My Mom and Dad are always willing to help and I am so lucky to have them.

I got a 90 on my final exam for my Substitute Teacher training class, and I only needed an 80 to pass. So, in the fall, I can start substitute teaching, if I'm still here by then.

My poor grandmother is a victim of internet crime - someone has stolen her email address. This is sad because I know how much she relies on her computer to keep her connected to the outside world as she cares for my 94 year old great-grandfather. Arizona is such a beautiful place in the world. Pima Comm. College has a nursing program that I was looking at on the internet a couple months ago (in Tucson).

I would love to learn how to speak Spanish. Now that I'm done with my Sub Training class, I'm already scanning the horizons for something else to learn. The Adult Community School and Kaimuki High School has evening classes teaching Thai, Tagalog (language of the Phillipines), and Japanese. Fun!

Working downtown is great and taking the bus everywhere sure cuts down on living expenses. Yesterday I walked four blocks to Chinatown and bought some vegetables for stew from a little store that looked like it was transplanted right out of Asia. It even smelled like Asia.

Life here is different, and different is good. Working in an office makes my mind so numb at the end of the day though. I want to go home and practice guitar but the motivation is not there. =)
