Red and Blue

I finally watched Brave with my lil bro, which was so awesome. I laughed out loud lots. [Spoiler (click to open)]I think what I love most about it though is that the story was really intertwined with the parent. Not just the cameo of a happy reunion or something like that, after the child has had their own moral-ridden adventure. I have strong parent feels, I just realised. Like, the only time I actually cried reading John Green's The Fault In Our Stars - although the rest of the book was amazing as well - was when the mother revealed she was going back to studying after years of living for her daughter. Then the next day we watched The Amazing Spider-Man, also awesome. Amazing. I'm so happy with the movie choices this week. Ooh, actually, we also watched Paranormal Activity 2 as well that night, just to pass the time, and found we both got into it a lot more. So we might see the next one.

I've been playing Scrabble with him a lot recently. Which is fun, because I always win. I especially enjoyed it when he cussed me out for putting down a three-letter word and getting 70 points on it :P

On another matter, I'm going to Bangkok in a few days! For work. I'm going to an innovation conference thing (*reads up tips on small talk because I'll be surrounded by strangers. eep!*) but I'm sure I'll have some time to myself to have a look around. This is exciting! :) The best perk of this job is that sometimes I get to travel. Seriously, if there wasn't a time clash, I would've been able to go to Singapore as well, again. But this way, I'll get to cross out #1 in my 2012 to-do list.
