Flipping through my "little black book" (actually green) and came upon a list that I'd made just when I first got to Japan. Yes, I like making lists! I was pleasently surprised that I'd actually done quite a bit within the last two years- though some of them are ongoing efforts. I've always thought I'm one of the most unproductive people I know, but this proves I'm wrong. Take that ID!

[x] Learn conversational Japanese
[x] Do some Haiku
[x] Try skateboarding and/or snowboarding
[o] Video project
[x] Practice chess, learn Go
[o] Get some decent cooking skills
[x] Korea + Hong Kong/China
[x] Get a tag
[-] Grad School treatise
[x] See some of rural Japan
[-] Physical design projects
[o] Get something published

I came back from Korea the other day and I had a fantastic time- until it was time to come back to Japan. Missed my flight, left my iPod + keys in Korea and manages to break my sunglasses. Regardless, my vacation until that point was fruitfull. I didn't get to set foot in N.Korea but I was able to spy at them at a distance. "Paradise on earth" my ass! I feel genuine sorrow for the people who have been so brainwashed into believing that their 'dear leader' is a demi-god. It's an episode of the Simpsons gone wrong- Bart Simpson ruling Springfield. On the lighter side- my feet are well blistered and my legs are sore but it was a good lesson for my planned trip through Europe. Max walking time = 4 hours, though this might be because my shoes are one size too small. I'm now a big fan of Kimchee and Korean beer.

Anyone know what an 'Ambigram' is? Try looking at the logo above with a mirror.

There's a new Matt Good album? OMGWTF!!!
