Things We Keep Quiet, Part I: A Girl Like Wine / TOP-centric: Gummy/TOP, onesided G-Dragon/TOP (Big Bang/YG family)
I wrote this really early in the year, but even reading back on it now makes me happy, haha. I'm not sure why I like it as much as I do, but, well. It's pretty clearly my favourite out of all I've posted this year.
Best Fic:
comfort of a different kind / Eunhyuk/Tablo (Super Junior/Epik High AU)
I think I call this one of my best, plot-wise, because I know the backstory to the larger AU that it's supposed to be a part of. So maybe it's not the best? Aha. I don't know. :| this is difficult
Most Underappreciated Fic:
Second Chances, or just a chance / Hangeng/Siwon (Super Junior AU)
I liked this more after the edits that I did post-submission to neoragobang. I don't think many people read it because of the intimidating word count, lol, and I don't really LOVE it, but it drained me for ages after writing it and it's one of very few of my fics that I can read again and kind of enjoy while reading.
Inevitability / Kangin-centric (Super Junior)
Maybe the Kangin/Yoonji throws people off? I liked this, though.
Most Fun Fic:
Backstage Encounters Part I: Oppa / Minji/Taemin (2NE1/SHINee)
In retrospect, I should have titled this differently, because it makes it seem like badfic lol. An~yway, this was just kind of fun and cute to write - actually most of my fic isn't very fun in terms of when it's read, haha.
[drabble] while we were sleeping / Daesung/Hyori (Family Outing)
I just think these two are the cutest.
Sexiest Fic:
[drabble] they don't know your name / Eunhyuk/Tablo (Super Junior/Epik High)
I don't have much to choose from, lol. I think I like this more than the one R/NC-17ish fic I wrote, anyway.
Fic that Shifted My Own Perceptions of the Characters:
Backstage Encounters Part II: Instinct / Park Bom/Donghae (2NE1/Super Junior)
This kind of made me think more about Donghae, whom I actually am not a fan of - I just don't see his appeal? - but writing this, along with another WIP at the time, made me reconsider him as a character, which I've always found really difficult to do.
Fic I'm Most Proud of:
[drabble] anatomy / Eunhyuk/Tablo (Super Junior/Epik High)
I guess it's kind of weird to say I'm most proud of a drabble - especially one that I wrote on the bus in basically two minutes. But I think because I wrote it so spontaneously that the flow of it is nicer than my other drabbles... it has a more poetic flow, I guess? That's the reason I think it's stylistically one of my best.
Biggest Disappointment:
For The Kingdom / Siwon-centric, Eeteuk/Siwon (Super Junior)
Disappointment in terms of writing. I feel like this could've been done much better, but I just... lacked the skill for it? It started off really promising and then just flopped.
Things We Keep Quiet Part II: just one night, one shot / G-Dragon/Seungri, one-sided G-Dragon/TOP (Big Bang).
This was written in accordance to, and after, A Girl Like Wine, and I think that's what made it such a disappointment - I REALLY liked A Girl Like Wine, and I felt very :| about this after rereading it. There were certain lines that I liked, but I didn't like it much overall. Both of these fics I can't read at all - I kind of cringe just scrolling through my masterlist and seeing them there.
Biggest Surprise:
The Fine Art of Sel-Ca / Kyuhyun/Sungmin (Super Junior)
... Mostly because this was the first ever (... and last/only, haha) fic that got it's own second page of comments :D I do think I could've written Sungmin better here, but overall I'm relatively happy with it.
Hardest Fic to Write:
Introduction to Entomology / Donghae-centric, gen (Super Junior)
This is actually still a WIP, so maybe this is cheating, but this would have to be the wingfic-that-never-was, no contest. it drained me of a lot of energy because it just was too intense to write. I like to use metaphors, I guess? Really... big ones, that aren't as evident, and I really struggled (or, well, am struggling) to understand the characters in the fic and their motivations and how it all tied into the big picture. Lol, which is why it's still unfinished. Also it has Donghae in it, and he's very hard to write for me.
Fic I Want Remembered:
Backstage Encounters Part II: Instinct / Park Bom/Donghae (2NE1/Super Junior)
This again, even though it's so short, lol. I guess... I just really, really like this, along with A Girl Like Wine. I think I just like wistful/wishful thinking and unrequited looove~~
Goals for Next Year: Learn to develop a plot. Write more frequently, and faster, because my rate of writing is averaged to be like, a paragraph a day. Finish all my SJ WIPs, and the crossovers I've spent months on.
