It's a little scary that Bush is ahead in the polls right now. I chalk it up to the fact the election is so close to the anniversary of 9/11, and people are still looking at Bush like he was some great leader who pulled everyone together. Meanwhile, over a thousand US soldiers have died and we still haven't achieved our supposed objective: to find Bin Laden and put an end to Al Quaida.

When the race first started I thought, no way is Bush going to be re-elected. People just can't be that stupid. Like a friend of mine said, "A box of hair could beat him at this point." Now I'm not so sure.

What really ticks me off about this, is that what the article so bluntly says (that bush is a puppet) is what i've been saying for God knows how long. I was annoyed greatly w/ michael moore's film and even moreso by the everyday bush-bashing that i am subjected too. Bush is not the evil-doer or at least, the single evil-doer that is causing all the problems we are dealing with right now. Bush is merely a figurehead for a whole group of people trying to advance their own personal agendas. People who are ignorant of any political information see Bush saying "we need $$ to go to Iraq" or whatever and so they bash him and that's bullshit. No, I will not help in re-electing Bush, but not because I don't like him, because I dont' liek the people who are telling him what to do.

Yes, Bush is a puppet. He was drinking and snorting back when douchebags like Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz were carrying out their war against Islam in the 1980s, feeding Iran and Iraq money and weapons to kill each other. Back then it was Reagan pretending to lead, but letting the daily effort fall on the conservative/christian machine. Like Bush, Sr. (who is ex-CIA Director) Cheney is the one you have to watch behind the curtain.

Given Bush Jr.s demonstrated lack of skill or intelligence, it's pretty clear that the Free World operates not from the will of one man, but by a consortium of men who control themachinery. It is overseen by the Congress to a degree, but remember that the President has the power of Executive order in a time of war to do things the Constitution would normally prohibit. So the article you cite is correct, but it isn't anything new.

todd, this article was astoundingly uninteresting. but, i still want to bother dan just because he never responded to my last rebuttal.

blaydon...what do you base your beliefs on? the non-liberal media? given your stance on how any person (i assume you arn't just being biased against democrats) decides their beliefs, you must have access to an entirely differant library of political resources. have you been hanging out with president bush?

"Please, grow up." >> them's fightin words.

Blaydon,

I have been republican my whole life and getting to know Bush's policies and the things he has lied about and screwed up, [i,e. healthcare, Iraq, illegal aliens, the economy]

You need to drop the whole liberal media. That's all you ever use as an arguement. Most news media, except FOX, who actually praises your conservative bias, is non-bias. Most lose their jobs and or get highly scrutinized for such.

Maybe if you were truely fighting the war on terror, not the war on Iraq, I would have more faith in Bush. September 11th, was a direct relation to Al-quida and Osama bin Laden. We got Saddam, great, but that's not really what we needed to go after. I don't feel any safer that we got Saddam.

Everyone seems to be an expert on politics and foreign policy except Bush.

I'm starting to wonder if he went AWOL in school as well.

Todd,
Grow up and have some respect for yourself...and put some pants on. Just messing with ya. But I do got to agree with the guy who you responded to. As a journalism major here at Ship, I have been part of many classroom discussions with professors and guest speakers, about where the news media falls politcally.
While ideally, the media should be objective when reporting news, it's impossible to be completey unbiased. And it's no secret that the media traditionally falls onto the the left side.
I am not saying I am voting for Bush. I am not saying I am voting for Kerry. I actually can say that both sides disgust me.
But it is rather comical to read some of these responses on why Bush is bad. It's just sometimes I forget that Livejournal is where everyone goes to get the important breaking news and inside scoop. LIVEJOURNAL HAS CRACKED THE CASE!!
Pees, I'm out!
