So, I read my way through my first Gaiman solo novel yesterday. You can tell I enjoyed it by the fact I finished it in the space of a day. Neverwhere is awesome, Emily, I will have to lend it to you, you'll love it, the plot is like a corkscrew. I even got the comic version of it today, which is also awesome. Gonna have to get the TV show too O_O ( Read more... )

I managed to comment and not read the spoilers!!
Are you proud of me?
Glad you enjoyed it, I am reading Nation the latest Pratchett at the moment, and you should read it when I'm done. I am really loving it, although it's strange as it is not Discworld o_O

I am, so proud, trust me, it's the kind of plot where not knowing what's going to happen makes it all the more awesome.
Yes! Must read Pratchett!

I've been meaning to get the BBC series for FOREVARZ~~ Neverwhere is very very good, but I haven't read it for almost a year... Since I bought it... (>__>;)

Aziraphale has always remained my favourite of all of Gaiman's, and other authors' angels in general. But he really is an exception for Neil. Fucked up as Islington is, Remiel from The Sandman is also quite messed up (mostly cowardly, I suppose, until Mike Carey got his hands on him and turned him batshit insane).

I suppose Aziraphale is quite appealing in that aspect~~ Most things he does, he does out of the goodness of his heart or selfishness. Somehow even his selfishness is somewhat unselfish, lol!

(I'll admit, I've always wondered about that lying-to-God thingie back in Eden though... Because surely Azi must've known that He would know exactly what he'd done anyway... XDD)

Hee, yep, I ordered it, gonna enjoy!

I agree, you gotta love Aziraphale. Bless him. At least he feels bad about it when he act un-angelic XD

(Oh he must have known, maybe it was that panicked 'push the evidence under the rug, no one will look there!' mentality *giggle*)
