I'm nothing in not thorough in my geeky-ways. Especially when I write fanfic or RP for it. I mean, the amount of Dalek books I have so I could do Caan right is a bit scary. Anyway, I was looking to see if I could find any clues to Crowley's 'True Name', the one that's never spoken, but the one he has to sue to sign all official documents. I found ( Read more... )

Geh, with Azazel?

Crowley impregnating human women strikes me as incredibly distasteful, and not just because I'm a slash-fan.

But the Grigori weren't even fallen at the time when they spawned the Nephilim and introduced man to the secrets of Heaven (I love that cosmetics is one of those, lol) so that "reputation" really contradicts itself... And Crowley was fallen at the time of the Fall.

OBJECTION!!!11!

OH god yeah, the whole 'seed of the serpent' thing just doesn't seem to work at all. *shudder*
This is true, I've always had difficulty placing exactly when Crowley supposedly Fell. I mean, it was early on, if he was in the Garden, 'tis confusing, and not being a church-going type, I tend to fly by the seat of my pants with these.

Ah well, it is a name, anyway. Terry and Neil seemed to borrow lots of names and twist them a bit anyway, like with Dagon *snort*

Introduced weapons to man. What? A tire iron? *giggle*

Well, there is only one great Fall, and then the Grigori. XD I don't think any angel's individual fall has ever been recorded, so we have to peg Crowley into the first category then. Lol, you don't really learn about angels in church either though...

Aziraphale is also an altered version of Azirafael, I think. Means something like "God heals my strength", if you're going to trust Wiki. But we're not given any clues whatsoever about Crowley's origins, so there really isn't anything you can say about it. Gadre'el isn't the only angels reputed to be the snake in Eden, actually that is attributed to a great deal of fallen angels... Although Gadre'el is a more unusual one.

xD I wish. Actually, Gadre'el isn't mentioned in the Book of Enoch, as far as I've been reading it that is. (._.;) Azazel is the only one mentioned to make known to mankind the metals of the earth and blah.

Now I need to go down and check my Angel dictionary of awesome. 8I
