HUGHES, Hazel R. Age 83 of Middletown passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2006. She was born on September 25, 1923 in Sterling, Kansas. She was a homemaker. She was an avid pool player and bowler. She was a former member of the United Armed Service Club of Poasttown, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Lottie (Ritz) Deadmond; a brother, Blake Deadmond; and sisters, Grace, Wanda and Vesta. She is survived by her sons, Butch (Angie) Bundick of Carlisle, Roger Hughes of Middletown, and Kenneth (Sharon) Hughes of Middletown; her daughters, Rosetta Montgomery of Middletown, Cheryl (Carlin) Duvall of Franklin, and Theresa Hughes of California; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Deadmond of California; and two sisters, Irene Reynolds of Kansas and Thelma Caviness of Seattle, Washington. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 3, from 5-8:00 pm at the Baker-Stevens Funeral Home with Funeral Services also there on Wednesday, October 4 at 2:00 pm with Minister Jerry Minor officiating. Interment will be in the Woodhill Cemetery in Franklin, Ohio. Baker-Stevens Funeral Home is serving the family.
