I like this even better than the song lyric meme! I'm *always* quoting movie lines in my every day life, so YAY!

gakked from plumsnickety

1. Pick one dozen movies that are ones that you have special feelings about.
2. Pick a few lines of dialogue that mean something to you.
3. As people guess the film, strike out that entry.
4. If possible, after the film is guessed, explain why that movie made the list.

1. It's possible pig. I might be bluffing. It's conceivable you miserable vomitous mass. Princess Bride, guess by tynantblue0162 This is one of my most favorite movies. I have seen it too many times to count and I am always quoting lines from it. Probably several times a week. This happens to be my favorite part to quote.

2. He's an idiot. His parents are probably idiots too. Back to the Future. guessed by edie22. This is my favorite line to quote ever. And especially since the election. ha!

3. Once again, things that could have been brought my attention YESTERDAY!! The Wedding Singer. guessed by tynantblue0162 I'm not a huge Adam Sandler fan but I adore him in this movie and this is probably my favorite line. I really love the snarky tone he uses.

4. I don't wanna kill you and you don't wanna be dead. Silverado, guessed by thdancingferret I saw this movie when it first came out in the theaters in 1985 and I was already into movie lines. When my friend Chris and I saw this on 23rd St. in NYC, she leaned over to me and whispered, "That's the line."

5. I can't stand rude behavior in a man. I won't tolerate it. Lonesome Dove, guessed by sarahnett I love this whole movie but this scene really gets to me. Call (Tommy Lee Jones) catches someone whipping his son (who he won't acknowledge because he was born to a whore) and comes along and beats the ever-living shit out of the guy. So badly that his partner, Augustus, has to haul him off with a rope. Then he says the line calmly as if his reaction was the most civilized thing in the world. Ha! I love that he comes to Newt's defense even though he won't acknowledge him. There's no question he loves that boy. *happy sigh*

6. To call you stupid would be an insult to stupid people. A Fish Called Wanda. Guessed by marinwood One of my favorite Kevin Kline movies. This one has lots of good lines and this one just popped into my head today.

7. I have crossed oceans of time to find you. Bram Stoker's Dracula. guessed by tehomet Oh my god, this is one of the most romantic lines ever uttered in a film and the way Gary Oldman says it to her?! With that deep, breathy voice. Guh. *melts*

8. This is my country. I go where I like. (No one guessed this. It's from Cry Freedom and Stephen Biko (Denzel Washington) says it to Donald Woods (Kevin Kline) when Woods remarks that he's not supposed to leave his area as he is banned. I love his defiance.)

9. Until you do right by me, everything you think about is gonna crumble. The Color Purple, guessed by marinwood This is my most favorite movie ever, ever, ever. I think it's brilliant. And the moment when Celie find strikes back at her abusive husband and takes control of her life is my favorite one in the movie.

10. No one thinks he's ever going to leave her.
You're right. You're right. I know you're right. When Harry Met Sally, guessed by marinwood This exchange is repeated a couple of times in the movie and it always cracks me up. This is probably my favorite romantic comedy.

11. If you fit in my pants, I will kill myself. While You Were Sleeping, guessed by txrose Hee! I love this film and the ending always makes me cry.

12. You'd like that. You know you'd like that, Leila. I know you'd like that. There ain't nothing with liking that, baby. Suspicious River, guessed by mei_x. This is probably my favorite performance of Callum Keith Rennie's. Despite the fact that he's despicably evil, he's still sexy in this. Guh.
