Skyfall

Well that was an awesome movie except for the whole killing M bit. :/ I mean i was pretty much expecting/dreading it the whole time, so it's not like it came out of nowhere given how the story was playing out, plus i mean she's been in these movies for a long-ass time so ya know, it just sucks because all the M and Bond stuff was REALLY GREAT. Going on the lam together was my favorite. ;_____; Like i know they were laying on the mom stuff pretty thick, but as previously established i love shipping things i shouldn't and I'M JUST SO INTO JUDI DENCH'S M WITH DANIEL CRAIG'S BOND. No-nonsense older lady and loose cannon younger dude who both secretly have a soft spot for each other, ahjgjdsgf. Every time he says "Yes, ma'am." i internally do a bunch of karate chops.

The other best thing was

MONEYPENNY

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!&^#$*%$(&@%$&^$

I ALWAYS WISHED THESE MOVIES WOULD GIVE US MONEYPENNY AND WOWWWWWWWW THEY GAVE HER A FIELD AGENT BACKSTORY AND BASICALLY MADE HER THE RADDEST!??!?!??!!!????

It even briefly crossed my mind when she and Bond were first interacting inside the new MI6 headquarters but i was like, nah, she's a field agent. And then later i started thinking like, ugh, what if Moneypenny was just in the background somewhere at some point and they're never gonna introduce her, and then once they were in the office at the end right before she said it i finally figured it out.

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

BOND/MONEYPENNY

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The Shanghai assassination scene was the PRETTIEST, holy balls. The whole movie was the prettiest, but that sequence was particularly awesome. And i love how they lampshaded various bits of classic hokey Bond, and it was all just super entertaining.

Silva's reaction to getting knifed in the back was the funniest shit i've ever seen. What a good death scene.

I need to rewatch Quantum of Solace because i only ever saw it once, although i guess it's not that great. It has the best opening credits out of all of them though. This one started out promising with the gorgeous underwater stuff but once that part ended i didn't really like it as much.

Fringe

Hm. So i actually think this Peter going to the dark side stuff is pretty interesting. That moment when he suddenly teleported like an Observer was AWESOME and it's all really unsettling and tragic that he and Olivia diverged so greatly in their response to Etta's death. I like the parallels drawn between the alterations made to Walter and Peter's minds, and that it may already be too late for "be a better man than your father."

The pocket universe was so cool, especially the moment when Walter first disappeared through the portal. Before they explained where the portal went though i was like "REDVERSE?!?!??! REDVERSE!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!??" and then it wasn't and i was sad.

Oh man and Olivia throwing the Observer through the portal so she could shoot him on the other side was THE BEST.

But everything is still really miserable and it's hard to cope with. Oliviaaaaaaaaaaa :(
