So what the hell is the deal with the whole "the man who's going to kill me" business? Was the Mr. X dude just a big SIKE because this is a different universe now so they can ignore that little episode cliffhanger that NEVER WENT ANYWHERE, and SURPRISE it was actually Walter?
But hey, they finally did go all-in on the X2 Wolverine parallel! Yay! X-Men powers. :D

Between that and the pregnancy... Yeesh. The pregnancy reveal was so hackneyed that it managed to annoy me about information we ALREADY KNEW. They have a kid in the future! I was okay with that! And now here is a scene straight out of any basic primetime drama, awww yeeeaaaa, gonna get mega generic on your asses. :[
I always thought Olivia's Cortexiphan powers would lead to something a lot more epic. Even though this was all about Bell's plans to destroy two universes and start a whole new one, it felt so... small-scale. Olivia was the power source for the whole thing and it was supposed to be all about her, but aside from making the universe jump (and throwing some bullets!) she didn't really get to DO anything in the end. ?????? They even gave her that great moment of saying how she didn't want to be used anymore, and yet ultimately her fate still wasn't in her own hands.

AND if Olivia's powers are gone, that means the only other major option for getting back to Redverse is gone. I don't doubt that Walter and Massive Dynamic can easily conjure up some other portal shit, but if next season is going to be about the Observer invasion like it seems, I'M SUPER WORRIED WE'RE NEVER GOING BACK TO REDVERSE EVER AGAIN. D: D: D: I'm even wondering if they're just going to skip straight ahead to the future, since the flash-forward episode already set everything up. And boy, i can't really get excited about that at all.
I did like Olivia and Peter jumping to the boat, and the fact that Peter could see it but not get to it while Olivia could get to it but not see it. Complementary specialness! PETER IS THE GATEKEEPER AND OLIVIA IS THE KEYMASTER. I also enjoyed Bell's assertion that Peter and Olivia could be the new Adam and Eve because WILL AND LYRA. Man, they just never stop doing that, do they?
When they didn't heal Astrid with Cortexiphan (oh, you mean... regular medical technology works? ...oh.) i realized Olivia was the much more obvious choice for the magically convenient Cortexiphan healing powers so i was just waiting for her to "die". Walter shooting her was surprising, though. And Peter's reaction was sad. :( But i loved Walter slapping him and yelling at him to get his shit together.
Oh shit, Fringe division upgrade! Broyles upgrade! Nina -- well, i guess a government job is probably a downgrade from her position at Massive Dynamic, but still -- upgrade!
Astrid pulling out the Red Vines to share with Walter was probably the cutest thing i've ever seen. AND HE CALLED HER ASTRIIIIIIIIIIID. :D :D :D :D :D
My favorite scene was Jessica's reanimation because HOLY SHIT THAT WAS HORRIFYING IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY. Her eyes being out of sync was such a relatively subtle effect that it was just wrong enough to be absolutely creepy as fuck, and the weird voice saying all those disjointed things... FUUUUUUUUCK. I guess somebody liked Charlotte's time-slips on Lost and just wanted to make them like fifty times more disturbing. I'm sad that Jessica wasn't who she said she was because it undercuts her excellent scenes in the last episode, but this scene was awesome too so i guess it's okay.
Ugh, this season. Such a mess. After being so excited for it and then so disappointed by it, i don't really have any hope for next year. But i really, really, REALLY want them to come up with something awesome. :( PULL IT TOGETHER! SECOND HALF OF SEASON 1/SECOND HALF OF SEASON 2/FIRST HALF OF SEASON 3 QUALITY! GO!
