And oh my god the soundtrack. Oh my god. I hadn't listened to it beforehand because i wanted to experience it within the movie itself, and that was a GOOD CHOICE because it was so insanely effective in context. Like, as if the visuals weren't amazing enough, let's make it even awesomer by adding the PERFECT MUSIC and jam it up to 11 so you can feel it rattle your fucking bones. Quorraaaaaaaaa. HOW IS OLIVIA WILDE EVEN REAL. I just love her face so much. *___* I could tell from what they showed on Tron Night that Quorra would be DELIGHTFUL and she really, really was. Inappropriate giggling! (the awkward dinner was the besssst.) EVERY TIME SHE THREW HERSELF IN FRONT OF SAM PROTECTING HIM LIKE A BAMF. I want to know how she'll adjust to the real world! Quorraaaaa.

I liked that there was no kissing, even though i love kissing! But Quorra and Sam really hadn't known each other very long and i grow weary of the standard "hero gets the girl" beats that tend to happen like the filmmakers are just checking off boxes. Like, that Thor trailer is okay (it's at least better than the Green Lantern trailer!) but oh, well, there's your obligatory love interest kissing and the same things happen the same way across so many movies that it just seems perfunctory and unearned and SNOOZE x100000000000
So okay here's a thing: I really wish there had been more Tron. SO MUCH, I WISH THIS. I was so excited to see him in those flashbacks! And his fake death was REALLY UPSETTING because i love love love Tron, i love that in the original movie Flynn is the protagonist but Tron is the true hero and his importance is never lessened even though it is a story about Flynn's journey. So i was so excited to see him in this, and i kept expecting something awesome when it was revealed he was still around, and yeah "I fight for the Users" was super great, and when he turned back to blue as he sank down in the water, but... i thought he'd come back after that! I thought WE'D GET TO SEE HIS FACE AGAIN, since they went through the trouble of youngifying Bruce Boxleitner for the flashbacks! I JUST REALLY LOVE TRON AND I WANTED TO SEE MORE OF HIM. ;_____; But at least we got that flashback fight. That was so great.
I think it's bullshit that Lora and Yori weren't in it though. The first movie is centered on the Flynn/Lora/Alan trio, wtf. :/ WHERE DID YORI GO, WHY DIDN'T SHE GET TO HELP BUILD THE GRID??? SHE AND TRON ARE COMPUTER-MARRIED OKAY.
Also: Sam's invisible dead mother? Oy. Always with the dead moms.
I had been concerned about heading deep into the Uncanny Valley with young Jeff Bridges and, yeah, it was kind of off, but it didn't really bug me as much as i expected it to. It was still really good and i got used to Clu's face more as the movie went on.
I did find the ending to be a bit of a downer. I guess i was expecting it to be all nice and neat and happy the way the first one ends, but uh, instead Flynn dies and takes the whole Grid with him?! THAT BLOWS. It is just depressing that after spending two decades trapped in a computer, Flynn only gets to hang out with his adult son for a few hours before dying. :(
CILLIAN MURPHY WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!!?!?!! :D :D :D :D I'm not gonna lie, i spent a lot of time waiting for a Program Cillian Murphy to show up and start kicking ass. SADFACE. His presence made me start thinking of how this movie was basically Inception though. LOLOLOLOL. Let's go into a made-up world and reconnect a father and son who own a powerful corporation! And if that made-up world knows you're not supposed to be there, it's going to try to destroy you! And you have a time limit for escaping, otherwise you're stuck! TRON: INCEPTION

I loved that Flynn's house looked pretty much exactly like the room at the end of 2001. The futuristic lit up floors combined with the antique furniture styles! In addition to the differently aged characters and computers trying to kill their makers, it seems like a fairly deliberate homage. Perhaps.

Hahahaha I LOVE THAT FABIO WON. After Jane got voted out, he and Holly were the only ones left that i was rooting for. And he was always so entertaining! As time went on he started to endear himself to me a lot, especially when he was so upset and forthright about his emotions after he didn't get to spend time with his mom (and making everybody get teared up at the final tribal council, AWWWW). And the way he applied himself and actually came through on winning three immunity challenges in a row when he needed it most was really impressive. Normally i hate players who coast through and don't do anything, but in the end he played just as much as he needed to, and he didn't piss anybody off. It's pretty cool that that got him all the way through. Also he has the greatest laugh in the world. SO GOOFY.
I HATE SURVIVOR FINALES THOUGH. :/ So boooorrriiiinnnngggg, and the jury is always fucking swimming in self-righteousness, ugghhhh. I can't believe they're still doing a Final Three. IT SUCKS. NOBODY LIKES IT EXCEPT THE PRODUCERS. STOP IT. LOL at Sash not getting any votes. Brilliant strategy, you dorkwad.
That reunion show was atrocious. Normally i'm eeehhh okay with them, but this one... they barely even talked about the season! Why were there so many random interviews out in the audience! TERRIBLE.

YAY NAT AND KAT!!!! They were my second favorite, and i was just happy with anybody except Jill and Thomas (i was prepared to be super pissed, as TAR finales often make me. genuinely good and likeable teams rarely win). I loved Brook and Claire the most though. ;____; I feel like normally i'd be annoyed with anyone as loud and spastic as Brook, but i loved her so much, and the two of them were so enjoyable together. My favorites are always the teams that actually appreciate the journey they're going on and HAVE FUN, and both of these final lady teams really seemed to do that. YAY LADY TEAMS. :D
