YEP.

FUCK YOU, SMOKEY. FUCK YOU SO HARD. The whooooole time he and Desmond were standing by the well i was like "please don't push Desmond in, please don't push Desmond in, pleasedon'tpushDesmondin" AND THEN HE PUSHED DESMOND IN. FUCK THIS NOISE. Although i would be a lot more pissed if we knew he was dead, which he's not, so. YOU GET A PASS. FOR NOW. >:(

On the other hand, ILANA WTF??!?!?! THAT WAS NOT AS FUNNY AS ARZT, OKAY. I kept thinking, oooookay Ilana, you are seriously dumping water bottles into that bag on top of the incredibly unstable dynamite?? And then she kept swinging it around and i was cringing but i still was not expecting it to ACTUALLY EXPLODE. Uhhhhhh. I know sudden deaths are a thing that Lost does, but... this really trivialized Ilana a lot more than what seems appropriate. It totally threw me off.

I also have a hard time believing that everyone on the beach was at a safe enough distance from four sticks of dynamite exploding. Then again i guess most of them aren't allowed to die right now anyway, so maybe that kept them safe. CANDIDATE INVINCIBILITY BUBBLE: ACTIVATED

Alterna-Desmond running over alterna-Locke with his car made me react in several ways. 1) Total confusion! WTF Desmond, you are a good guy, WHY ARE YOU RUNNING OVER A MAN IN A WHEELCHAIR. D: 2) Inappropriate LULZ (...i laugh a lot when things are way out-of-left-field bizarre and unexpected. THIS WAS REALLY BIZARRE AND UNEXPECTED). Obviously alterna-Locke is not the same as Fake Locke, but they sure do look the same and Fake Locke just threw Desmond down a well. SWEET REVENGE. 3) EXCITEMENT, BECAUSE WAS THAT SERIOUSLY AN ATTEMPT TO SEND LOCKE BACK INTO THE REAL TIMELINE?!?!? If death lets you travel between the worlds! MAYBE. IDK. That's a little too Narnia, but for a brief moment i was really hoping for some seriously fucked up "REAL LOCKE IS BACK ON THE ISLAND MOTHAFUCKAAAS." But i guess it was probably just to get him to SEE the real world. Um, very violently. Of course it will also send him to the hospital, where Jack will also be, and probably Sun and Jin since Sun just got shot, and maybe Charlie and Claire. I DON'T KNOW. RUNNING OVER A GUY IN A WHEELCHAIR. DESMOND'S METHODS ARE PRETTY... UNIQUE.

AND THEN THE EPISODE WAS OVER. AAAGGHRGHFGKFASJFKHFKH

How is Desmond choosing who to contact from the flight manifest anyway? What if he had randomly chosen Scott or Steve or Frogurt instead of one of our main characters? And why did he only talk to Hurley, but Locke he ran over with a car? Why isn't he just attempted-murdering EVERYONE?

Awwww, the whispers are ghosts! That's... anti-climactic! I mean it's nice to know and all, but this is why i'm wary of answers on Lost. Answers are boring, mysteries are fun! ANYWAY i preferred my theory that the whispers were other time periods bleeding over.

I think it's interesting that the alterna-losties who were the first to be able to see the real world (Charlie, Daniel, Libby) are also dead in the real world. But aww, Libby. The picnic with Hurley on the beach made me sad, despite the obviousness of Libby actually saying it felt like a date they never got to have.

"42." "That's my number." Silly Desmond, no it's not!

Pierre Chang narrating the intro was so funny because we have heard that guy narrate a lot of things! I was confused as to why he was there until i remembered Miles' dad, head of the museum, blah blah. The greatest part of the cold open for me though was Hurley's mom saying he had to go to a thing for the Human Fund next week. SEINFELD REFERENCE!! The alternate universe made George Costanza's fake charity reeeeeal!

I really, really loved Jack and Hurley's conversation in the jungle. It is so refreshing to see Jack deliberately stepping back from the leadership role and trusting other people, when he has always been the most stubborn jerk about doing everything his way. It ironically makes him seem like more of a leader. And mentioning Juliet was a nice surprise. They DO remember her! ;___; Obviously it's nothing new for Jack to blame himself for someone's death, but, well, technically it was mostly his fault, and again, it's pretty refreshing and poignant that this one made him take a step back and CHANGE instead of his usual reaction of doing lots of stupid impulsive shit. Oh man, Jack has gotten so weirdly likeable this season, IT'S GREAT.

OH MY GOSH JACK AND KATE SEEING EACH OTHER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A LONG TIME. Smiles! Ahhhhhhh they are finally in the same place at the same time! THE PROSPECT OF REAL INTERACTION EXISTS ONCE AGAIN! :D :D :D

I love Hurley as a leader even though he feels like it's not right and isn't sure of what he's doing. (but that's the point, nobody is sure of what they're doing!) He blew up the Black Rock and sassed Richard and took on ambassador relations with Smokey! YOU GO, HUGO

Oh hey, Michael. I had been hoping for more ghosts, but oh well. :/ As with Charlie, rewatching season 2 made me hate Michael-- there have been a lot of murders on Lost, but Ana Lucia and Libby seems the most unforgiveable to me because it was premeditated and there was no real reason for it. They didn't have to die for Michael to get Walt back. He could have TOLD PEOPLE THE TRUTH and they probably would have gone along with it. And on top of that he barely showed any remorse, it was all just "my son! my son! my son!" And then once they got back to the real world he became estranged from Walt again, and then he died. GREAT JOB. That being said, seeing him help Hurley and pass along his apology to Libby was kind of nice.

Ben wondering what will happen when the island is done with them: MY CONCERNS EXACTLY. I hadn't thought about it in a while, but just today i started considering again how many characters might die in the end. Agggh.

Jacob told Richard what the island is?????? :O PLEASE TELL ME IT'S A GIANT BUNNY

LOL the preview for next week was BIZARRE. WTF creepy Willy Wonka tunnel scene?!? I love crossovers as much as the next kid, but ABC promo department, you are smoking crack. But i guess bonus points for coming up with creative ways to not show anything substantial or coherent in the previews? NEVERTHELESS I AM ONCE AGAIN TERRIBLY EXCITED FOR NEXT WEEK. The end of every episode leaves me with a nauseating sense of anxiety and a subsequent all-encompassing desire for the next episode TO JUST GET HERE ALREADY. Even though i am absolutely, mind-meltingly terrified that there are so few episodes left. I want time to speed up and slow down all at once!

I kind of keep track of my lj tags because i like to compare how many posts i have about certain subjects. Apparently i enjoy quantifying my interests! The thing is though, i used to post a lot more than i do now, so a lot of my most-used tags are for older stuff, and Alias has been my number one most-used tag by a very wide margin for FOREVER (haha remember when Alias was my favorite show and i posted about it constantly?!? me neither!). That is, until last week, when Lost finally surpassed it. Which means i can now officially declare Lost my favorite thing, according to facts! I am going to tell you right now that there will probably never be another show that i ramble incessantly about for six years in a row. It is my most continuously sustained fandom of all time. :*(
