QUESTION: does livejournal no longer email you replies to comments you leave in other people's journals? I recently stopped receiving email notifications of those (i thought everyone i'd commented to was just ignoring me! HA HA LOW SELF-ESTEEM, THANKS LJ) and figured maybe it was just an annoying glitch, but i'm still getting emails for comments in my own journal. Which is... extremely retarded. HELLO, it'd be nice to be notified when someone is addressing me, please!
Heroes
Hey, that was actually... decently entertaining some of the time! Ahahaha no West or twins. I swear the first however many episodes of this season have felt like the same crap rehashed over and over. I thought it was interesting the first time the twins used their powers together! Not so much the fifty times after that.
The nightmare bizness was definitely the coolest part of the episode. It was filmed cool AND it was interesting AND totally whacked, i loved it. They sure pulled a fast one on me with Matt's dad, i didn't think he'd be the bad guy, but then he WAS after all! Poor Matt. Sucks for him. :/
Good job waiting so long to open the box, Peter, it gave you approximately 0.0001% information.
So man i was actually happy to see Kristen Bell, and i liked her character too! I don't really have any holdover bitterness about VM, my feelings for the show just devolved into ambivalence (...annoyed ambivalence) (...annoyed, disappointed, uncomfortable ambivalence). And KBell's good at acting stuff most of the time i think! Granted, in this episode she was pretty much just bizarro evil Veronica, but still! She's really good at line delivery, i guess i never actively paid much attention to that until being forced to compare her to, like, Lucky Charms Irish people and junk. ALSO, lightning is a pretty sweetass power.
I really like Monica a lot! She's very cute with Micah.
The two scenes of Hiro stuff were pretty wedged in! They're still not so good at juggling their storylines right now! Also Mohinder stop using your powers for being a nuisance.
OH i was thinking, did we ever get an answer as to why Matt's power got interfered with whenever he tried to read minds around HRG last season?? That didn't have to do with the Haitian because the Haitian just erases memories, right? So what the heck? Am i forgetting something important? Sometimes i do that.
House
NOT OLD DUDE! NOOOOOOOOOO. With any luck he'll come back just to hang out with House and Wilson, right? RIGHT?! ...Please? :(
That bitchy girl sure is a bitch! I forgot to mention Mormon guy as one of my favorites, but i really like him too. I'm kind of gonna miss having a big team once they're whittled down to three, i like having more different characters around. This is fun!
Cameron's blonde hair annoyed me in this episode more than ever. UGH UGH UGH.
Pushing Daisies
I'm not sure how to express my feelings for this show. I don't feel fannish about it (then again, i am not fannish about much these days), i have no desire to make icons or read fic or even discuss it, but i am really enjoying it a lot; as each episode goes by i find that it just makes me very happy to watch. In the beginning i did think the pilot was sliiiiightly too cutesy gimmicky sometimes? But not in a way that annoyed me, just in a "okay, it's not the greatest thing ever!" way. But when i caught some of the repeat of it the weekend after that i found that it just made me smile a lot and also i realized how much i like Ned, and that is basically how my feelings have continued but also with liking all the other characters as well! And stylistically, the whole thing is pretty fantastic! There's so much comedy in little comments and things that go whizzing right by, you have to be paying attention to catch a lot of what they cram in there.
Anyhoo. The really important stuff: HOLY SHIZZ LEE PACE IS TOO PRETTY. I had never known he was so tall! HE'S SO TALL AND LANKY AND HOT AND TALL. Jeeeeeeeeez. And Ned's penchant for holding his hands behind his back or shoving them in his pockets in order to keep from touching Chuck makes him look SO ADORABLE AND PROPER. Also i enjoy when he stands in close proximity to Olive because Kristin Chenoweth is tinier than a very tiny thing and Lee Pace is tall so he looks even more gigantic and it makes me pretty happy.
Chuck's penchant for wearing bright red lipstick and dark sunglasses and head scarfs and pretty dresses and coats when out in public makes her look completely awesome. Also, some of my favorite bits are flashbacks to her in her aunts' house looking like something out of a Wes Anderson movie. Chuck!
I don't know how much i can/want to get invested in Ned/Chuck seeing as they are doomed? And yet kissing through plastic made me super super giddy and Ned being jealous was probably my favorite Ned so far and the solace-in-other-people and touching-by-proxy gets into even more interesting angsty territory and wow they're friggin cute. So.
I really love Aunt Lily! Also, Emerson! Also, remember last week when Ned said he wanted to be a Jedi! :) :) :)
Bionic Woman
It's possible that watching Bionic Woman immediately after Pushing Daisies makes me even fonder of Pushing Daisies and even less fond of Bionic Woman. Ha ha sometimes juxtaposition is bad. I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to this show the past couple weeks, i've been kind of half-watching it. Because it's only about one-quarter interesting. Granted, it's gotten better since the pilot, but it's still completely dumb. The sister and almost everything having to do with the company are frickin annoying. I like Sarah and that Jae dude, but they weren't around this week. HERC! Herc is the best part of the secret agent crap, he's awesome and his banter with Jaime is great. (although i was worried that he wasn't going to be on FNL anymore because of this, so i was super relieved to see him last week.)
I liked Jaime better with the English accent. ("Like one time, i said i was Bridget Jones, and i talked like this for the whooole conversation. I like ice cream! I need a boyfriend." Kelly Kapoor would make this show way more entertaining. That is just an example of one of many things that would make this show more entertaining.) It's funny how some people sound so much better with their natural accent, but some people are incredibly great and convincing with fake accents. And some people are awesome either way! (EXAMPLE: Hugh Laurie! David Tennant! No okay, well, Scottish kind of wins there, but that's because Scottish pwns all other accents ever.) ANYWAY. I'M TALKING ABOUT... ACCENTS. WHY.
I actually enjoyed Jaime and that dude! Tom? Was that his fake name? They had chemistry! He was pretty cute! I was surprisingly glad when he turned out to not be evil after all, and i am for whatever reason looking forward to cute spy mission hijinks as shown in the preview. ???!?? I don't know, man! WHATEVER!
