FACEPALM
I recently joined a community called big_brother which is devoted to monitoring creepy government encroachments on civil liberties, and similar such things. This stuff is something that all intelligent people should be concerned about, since by creating structures that give excessive power to the authorities, all it takes is one idiot to get control of them and things start to get ugly. On a recent post, pertaining to the excessive collection of personal information regarding international travelers, here was my recent comment and its response by some guy:

I did do a search on "the occult technology of power" and after reading the first page or so of it, got the idea. Alas that it is impossible for any serious discussion to emerge on these sorts of issues due to excessive obstruction by these idiots. Why do they always seem to pop up whenever they're least welcome?
