These are the classes I'm taking this quarter:
The Invention of Tradition in Contemporary East Asia, with Professor Pai
Milton with Professor O'Connell
The Tale of Genji and the Makioka sisters with Professor Wilson
Introductory Japanese (I) with Some Professor
I'm not officially in Japanese yet, because they were full. I'll just be crashing the class for the first week or so, and hopefully enough people will drop out for me to get a space. If I don't take Japanese I this quarter, I lose and entire year, which pretty much bites.
I've already been invited to my first college party! (I know, right? What's all that about?) My friend E. is throwing a party at her house (apparently it's one of her housemate's birthdays or whatnot) and she said that I should come if I can. And I can, so I'm going. I have no idea if I'll have fun or not, because I'm not really the partying type, but I'm eager to meet her friends.
Today, I went to B Natural's, P.'s, and D.'s houses to say goodbye and give them gifts. I gave them all bad romance novels, so if they're ever sad, they can read about Duke Ravenbuffcliff's rugged physique and Peony "Pip" Margarita's heaving bosom. It's difficult to be sad when bodices are being ripped, unless you sewed the bodice in which case bummer for you, dude!
It's midnight, and I need to wake up at eight tomorrow to run around like a madwoman and pack toiletries, so I guess I should sign off. News to come, I guess? I honestly don't know how interesting this blog is going to be.
