What: A first meeting turns into... WHAT?!

Nyota was thinking in Elgemese. It was the best way to reinforce the language, short of further conversation with Keenser. She wandered rather aimlessly through the corridors, letting her mind wander, occasionally finding herself stuck on a word or grammar pattern, but for the most part finding that the language came easily. She scarcely noticed that she was walking towards the observation deck until she found herself right outside the doors. Watching the stars didn't seem like a bad idea - she probably wasn't going to be able to sleep for a long time anyway - so she walked inside.
There was already someone sitting on one of the benches, and she raised a surprised eyebrow. I don't think I've ever seen her before. She considered just walking back out so as not to disturb her, but if she was one of the new transfers, then she should at least say hello. "Excuse me," she said. "Do you mind if I join you?"
