Christmas celebrations part 2
I thought Christmas was over, but a few surprises yet awaited me.
Yesterday morning my next-to-oldest brother, Davy, emailed me after he returned from his trip to Hawaii. (He's a part-time photographer for Men's Work Out Magazine, in addition to being a full-time astronomer for CalTech.) He attached pics of the sunset on the beach and general local scenary shots. It made my whole day. I miss him terrible--the last time I saw Davy was last year at my youngest brother, Paul's wedding. It's always nice to get updates from him.
Anyway, besides that, my oldest brother, Bert, and his family came in late yesterday evening. And we had an awesome time eating leftover Christmas food, opening presents, and reminscing on Christmases past.
Then, today, my brothers and I treated our parents to their first ever restuarant outing. (My father hates eating out, but we convinced him with a little persuasion. He usually makes my mom get food and bring it back to the house...but not this time. Hee!) We had a great time, and then after dinner, Shawn(who also ate with us) and I went to Paul and Melodie's. The rest of the night, we vegetated in the den, munched on Chex Mix, and watched DVDs on his kick-ass HDTV.
I just got back, and now, I need to catch up on secretary_fic and all my RPGs. :)
