I would rather right now not have what I want then have something short of what I want, because in the end, I am going to appreciate what it means to have it so much more than I can even imagine...
Profound Pete, very profound...
I couldn't agree more. Settling for something that you do not truly want in place of what you DO truly want only leads to disappointment among many other negative things in hindsight. If you don't truly and utterly feel satisfied by something, even if it was what you thought you wanted (only to realize that when you had it...it wasn't really what you were looking for) you'll never find that happiness that all of us confused human beings search for.
But at the same time...
It's difficult to see what would really make you happy, or what it is you truly want, and you'll never truly know until you dive head first into that water. So although you may not be able to find exactly what you're looking for, you shouldn't give up or push aside your search or your pursuit of what it is you truly want...
Because: although we all live in a time where it seems that our moments here are plentiful, one will never know if this day, this night, this hour, this minute, could be our last.
And when you're standing there at this "end" we all speak of so much but cannot and will not ever be able to grasp until we reach it...
Would you rather look back on your life and find it full of opportunities you wished you had taken when they first presented themselves...
Or would you rather stare at your life and be able to smile and say "I'm completely content..." because you did not hide under the fear of "not being able to find what you want" when maybe all you did was not look for or pursue it.
It's really something scary to think about when you try to. And I'm not asking for your answers to these questions...I can't really answer them either.
And I thank you for allowing me to "see part of your soul" and be "a priority" in your life.
