Hear ye, hear ye! Especially ye with whom I regularly hang!
A while ago, I asked my doctor whether I might get an EpiPen, after an unfortunate (and galling) incident involving walnuts and cookies. (I had tried 3 times to make sure I did not get walnuted cookies, and ended up with them, unbeknownst to me, resulting in a swift allergic response.) Her helpful answer was that I should just avoid the foods that cause problems (no duh), and maybe take a benadryl. I've got an emergency benadryl attached to my keychain (which cracks me up), but sometimes stronger measures may be in order. Two days ago, it occurred to me that I might ask my allergist for an EpiPen. Surely, she is familiar with the joys of anaphylactic shock. And she prescribed me one! Which I picked up today, and which is now living in my purse.
Which is why I told ye to hear - I will hopefully never need it, but just in case, it's in my purse.
As you were.
