It’s been months since I wrote a LiveJournal entry. I haven’t really felt like sharing, I guess. I’d like to put up three bits, then, for your amusement:

I got a chance at the last minute to attend Street Scene this weekend. I did a quick check online and discovered that Devo was headlining on Saturday night, so the decision was pretty much foregone. I had never seen them live before, but it seems they are sticking with the classics. ( Read on, spuds and spudettes )

I woke up in Anaheim yesterday, and when I got home I just showered and collapsed, so I didn’t get a chance to post a little something about ebenbrooks celebrating the last of his thirty-somethings. This weekend the family went to the Timken Museum in Balboa Park, wherein we gazed briefly at works of art ranging from one to five hundred years old. My favorite was the bronze Mercury in the lobby, which sounds trite, but man, whatevs, I like it. Because my wife and I don't travel much, we have been in the habit of buying annual Disneyland passes. As a result, we hit the 'land about once a month; it's only two hours away. We went yesterday with Avery and my mother-in-law, and I only realized how long it had been when my wife renewed our passes ( Read more... )

On Friday, I left work at 12:00, picked up Avery, and dropped her off with her grandparents. My wife and I spent Friday night and Saturday in Ramona at another of our time share spots. We arrived about 9:00 on Friday, got to bed at 10:00, and woke up at 8:00 Saturday morning. I actually slept fitfully, and I remember one of my dreams:

My wife, daughter, and self went to the Palm Canyon Resort over the weekend to hurry up and use our time share points before they run out. Very nice, very mellow. I lost three days of homework time, and I don't particularly care. We rolled on up Friday afternoon, ate take-out burritos, and went to bed early. I haven't been to Palm Springs in ( Read more... )
