IAP

Moo. Clank, drip. Flip.  The core sounds of my IAP. Not so much the latter because I've been lame, but I'm going to get started on that too. It just so happens that mystery hunt came along and I now retire around 4:30... in fact, 5:00 the other day, thanks to the rather audible garbage collection just outside my window. I would have pulled off 2:00 last night, but I had a delightful political conversation with Jeff while spinning wheels in the basement. I really need to read America (The Book.) Then I did laundry.

It's all but certain that I'll have productive summer employment.  Most will be at Merck, probably working on disease modeling, and the Zumbot has expressed a desire for me to return to MOP. Thus, work should run from early June until mid August. Hopefully I'll be moving in early to help with freshman orientation, since I really haven't had a chance to sit down and get to know this year's bunch very well, save for the ones who circulate to Bonfire lounge.

Bonfire's collective addiction to TV shone all too clearly as we tore apart the TV puzzles on Saturday evening. Incidentally, the rest of the dorm must also have hit their favorite puzzles at that time, as the dorm sustained a blistering 5 puzzles/hr from 6pm Saturday to midnight. Although I found myself twice stymied and several times misled by unintended magical coincidence, the event remained entertaining and the majority of puzzles were fun. As if the TV addiction weren't enough already, we now have the wonders of Comedy Central (The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, etc.) and the Discovery Channel (Mythbusters = the bomb show [ha, ha].)

Life is good!
