Just a quick update on the tax situation. I finally did hear from Robbie’s old tax preparer. He claims I should pay only $300+ or possible up to $3000, but nothing like what I actually paid. It has been a stressful week. After a relatively easy (though nevertheless painful) US tax filing accomplished remotely through a CPA in my home town of Stillwater, I started the process of filing a return in Canada on Monday. Waiting in the H&R Block office. My usual phobia related to any dealings with "the government" is kicking in.

I have fears of the Government of Canada wanting a big chunk of cash this year!
