Last two days
- Took a long walk downtown yesterday along the canal and the White River promenade behind the zoo with mom and Brandon. The weather was perfectly warm and sunny almost all week - perfect for outdoor strolls.
- Snuck in a bit more hammock time in the sunshine with book and husband and orange cat.
- Sat on the porch of my uncle's house at sunset with a glass of wine in hand and caught up with my cousins.
- Saw EVERYONE at a bonfire gathering last night. It was so great to hug so many old friends, especially since I wasn't expecting to see a number of them on this trip.
- Talked my step-dad into going to the post office to submit his passport application. This way, we can take my folks down to Mexico the next time they come to visit.
- Had once last lunch at Papa Roux today with my mom and one of my aunts. The breakfast-style po' boy that I took to go was a real treat for dinner at the airport.
- Had an uneventful flight. The kitties were SO EXCITED to see me when I came home tonight!
I'm a little regretful that I wasn't able to squeeze in a little bit more time on this trip and wish that I had been in slightly better health, but it was still a pretty fantastic trip. I still love my life here, but nothing beats going home for a bit.
