I kind of feel like I'm looking out over a precipice right now and someone's about to come up from behind and push me. All is calm right now, but I'm about to descend into a flurry of activity.
Tomorrow:
normalcyispasse competes in his first powerlifting competition ever and attempts to break the world record for deadlift in his division. Wish him luck, please.
Sunday: I turn a quarter of a century old. Whoo!
Tuesday: Mardi Gras. (Once a resident of New Orleans, always a resident of New Orleans.)
Wednesday: At the crack of effing DAWN, we get on a plane to Korea. While I can't wait to settle into our new place and start teaching again, I'm more than a little sad to leave my family and the comforts of home.
(lost time due to the International Dateline and jetlag)
...Thursday(?): We arrive in Seoul and drag our stuff into town for the night.
Friday(?): We fly into Yeosu and figure out just where the hell it is that we'll be living for the next year.
Eeep. And before we leave, I have about a hundred things on my to-do list. A sample: go through my all of my things in storage, plan the (second) wedding, write thank you notes, ship our stuff, and say goodbye to about a dozen people.
I'll be muttering mantras under my breath right up until the end of February.
