You've braved Durian. What did it taste like? (if you can even attempt a description)

What snake did you eat?

I've had rattlesnake, and it was very good indeed. Flesh fit for kings.

Does the ant I ate to freak out Fiona at the Renn Fest count for #42?

(I think not, because I know the INTENT of the listing. And ew, as Fiona said at the time.)

Laughing...

He lists Gjetost, or brunost - Wikipedia offers up this bit of culinary bliss: Brunost and lefse are used in some areas as a side dish to lutefisk.

I wonder why lutefisk isn't on his list?

I've had lutefisk too...

If I don't get credit for whatever the hell that giant rodent was that I ate in the Yucatan, you don't get credit for kangaroo.

Ha!
I've had 45. Funny story: there was an otherwise thoroughly unremarkable pub / inn on the Ripon road called Cragg Lodge. Kinda worn down place in the countryside.

It had the world's largest selection of single malts.

The listing was a 3" file folder, kept behind the bar. I think it was around 10,000 different bottles. Many of the drinks had what the barman described as 'telephone number prices' - 5 digits at the time.

I remember they had a bunch of Rosebank 20 year, some of them not terribly expensive. I had something from 1974, I think.

"Italicize any item you'll never eat again."

You made it through an entire Monster Manual? I'm impressed. My intestinal fortitude always gave out somewhere between axebeaks and bugbears.

By the time you get to "Ghast," you're pretty much hosed.

You have not had a really good single malt? Sometime when I have an extra $150, I'll have to rectify that.

I'm checking with presterjon, because it's possible he gave me some. I've been given some awesome single malts, but I've never been rude enough to check the price.
