You've braved Durian. What did it taste like? (if you can even attempt a description)

What snake did you eat?

I've had rattlesnake, and it was very good indeed. Flesh fit for kings.

Does the ant I ate to freak out Fiona at the Renn Fest count for #42?

(I think not, because I know the INTENT of the listing. And ew, as Fiona said at the time.)

Laughing...

He lists Gjetost, or brunost - Wikipedia offers up this bit of culinary bliss: Brunost and lefse are used in some areas as a side dish to lutefisk.

I wonder why lutefisk isn't on his list?

I recently had durian for the first time! tatternym August 15 2008, 08:19:44 UTC
Someone had a whole durian they'd frozen and sawed in half. Texture was a lot like frozen custard. It smelled sulfurous and kinda foul (but prolly better than a fully thawed one). It tasted generally sweet, and mildly of melon, while inescapably sulfury. Whether or not you were actively smelling/breathing it as you were tasting it changed the flavour drastically. All told, it was weird but tasty, and certainly not to be feared, although not a thing I'll ever crave.

Or, nerdier and more succinctly:
It's like honeydew custard just BAMFed in your mouth.
