So I finally have constructed the head! It took a really damn long time too because I mis-calculated some of the sizes. Anyway, it is late, but damn am I happy I got this out of the way. Also, theres a big hole in the face because thats where the muzzle pieces and nose will go. Anyway, here we go!
As always, I start with...
A mess!
Pretty much what I did for the head pieces was draw, cut and tape together. This way I can take it apart when it comes time to cut out the fabric pieces.
Also you will see my trusty companion and model in the picture. My photographer got a little distracted by his cute ways:
Um...yes...we both just read "Stuff" for the...ARTICLES! Yes! The articles!
SILLINESS ASIDE (this is serious business here), here are some more shots of me swearing and getting frustrated but somehoe piecing together this monstrosity:
SUCCESS!!
Also, because I am so DAMN clever, I made it so you can kinda see what it will look like with nose and muzzle once completed:
yes, I know I need to make the eyes less slopey.
So to close tonight, I give you a few size orientation shots that show the head with the body. Also, I want to note that I did not measure ANYTHING here. I just started cutting and was able to make the head erfectly in proportion to the body!
Also, for those wondering, the orange thing on my thigh is just a little piece of cloth I have had since I was born. A blankie of sorts. I just kinda have it with me at all times when I'm home because I like the feel of the fabric, and it is super amazing at getting me to really focus on something. Also, I'm a sucker for nostalgia and couldnt get rid of that thing if I tried.
Also, I will get fabric pics up soon. Promise!
