May We Discuss Friday's H50 episode?
You know I love me some Hawaii Five-0. But Friday night's episode? It didn't work for me.
It was fabulous seeing more of Chin Ho! And I nearly cried every time Malia was on the screen. But the episode itself? I just didn't get it. Why was Chin being investigated? Because he failed to solve his father's murder 15 years earlier? Gabriel had an alibi and no physical evidence to connect him to the murder of Chin's father. Chin was being investigated because his poor dead wife's brother was a mobster? Does that make Chin subject to an investigation? None of the Five-0 did anything wrong when they arrested Gabriel. Why were they under investigation?
Nothing made sense. (And I missed Danny, a lot.)
I also didn't like the fact that Kono's return wasn't even addressed. "Hey, we missed you and are so glad you're home." Anything.
I want Steve and Danny together, arguing. I want Kono and Chin together being awesome. Is that too much to ask?
