I am writing a story for perverse_bang and it's an Hawaii Five-0 Steve/Danny Old West AU. (Yeah, I know. My brain is a scary, scary place, even to me.)

What did they use way back then for lube? Lard?

I know it doesn't matter all that much and I could just gloss over it. But my muses are insisting I include it.
