Emily sat on the bed, putting lotion on her legs as she worriedly watched Don. “I think you need to see a doctor about that.”
He scowled as he finished dressing the graze wound from a bullet and pulled his t-shirt back down over his muscular body. Seriously, he stated, “I don’t need a doctor, I am a doctor.”
She couldn’t stop the smile that spread across her face as she asked, “Wait, did you just quote Star Trek?”
He eased into the bed, a mischievous grin causing his eyes to crinkle. “Yeah, well, I know how you like it.”
