California was the song that got me into Luna. I think.
BTW, I got a Texas is the Reason album, "Do You Know Who You Are", but I couldn't get past the first song or two. It just sounded like average jangly guitar music to me. What's the appeal to you?
I think that record is more about time and place. I first heard it in like, what, 1996? It was completely new to me at the time, though I learned later that they ganked that sound from SDRE.
If you listen to 'Diary', you'll see what I'm saying. The whiny voice, the metalish sounding guitars, all very similar to 'Do you know who you are'. I still like DYKWYA, but I think they might be a sentimental favorite, too.
