Much like hozomeen I'm not a meme person either, but this one I like.

5 songs I'm currently digging;

1. 'Beguiling' - Sarge. I don't listen to lots of other bands that were Sarge related (like Braid or Promise Ring), but Sarge has been able to stick with me. This song I really like.

2. 'Everything I see makes it feel wrong' - +/-. Plus/Minus make interesting music, what I think is considered lap pop but with great guitar sounds and live drumming. This song does not have rock guitars, live drumming, or beep boop sounds. I like the quietness, and the lyrics about longing and drinking.

3. 'California (All the way) - Luna. I've loved this song forever. Beautiful (now seemingly antiquated) and lush guitar sounds, a great rock song. Why isn't this song famous?

4. 'Let the bad times roll' - Paul Westerberg. I actually first heard this song when he performed it on Letterman. That rendition is actually more moving, because it's just him and his telecaster. The record version is alright, and the lyrics are great. I love lyrics about longing and sadness, especially when they come from a middle-aged Paul Westerberg.

5. 'Entire' - The Spinanes. The record 'Manos' is going to be one of my favorites forever. This song is Rebecca Gates and an acoustic guitar, which doesn't give an indication to how much this record rocks. I don't know what the lyrics are about, but she sings them conviction.

...

I'm procrastinating at work. I should be finishing this close out document, but eh, this was more fun.
