I'm at work, so of course, I have nothing better to be doing than writing in my livejournal.
Ha! Suckers!
Actually, this job rocks in a big way. And actually, it took me five times to spell actually right.
Today is a day for being tired. I hung out at the laundromat till 3am last night. It was really great, actually (first time! first time!), but doing so made waking up at 7am too hard.
So I skipped classes for the first time this semester. I've been such a control freak about it. Maybe this is good for me.
That was boring. This is interesting:
Ever since the van died and the buick replaced it, I haven't had presets for the radio. They were just a little too hard to figure out - so I gave up. Instead, I listen to the radio on Scan, which honestly, is the best way to listen to the radio. You get a little sample of everything. It also single-handedly induces ADD in the listener.
But through all this I discovered some very BAD things about humanity. Mostly is the realization that "smooth jazz" is a very popular, thriving genre. I had no idea. I thought smooth jazz died out with the dinosaurs (and good riddance! to the both of them!). But I was wrong. Apparently, it's craved enough to merit at least five F.M. stations dedicated to playing ONLY everyone's favorite smooth jazz hits. And, strikingly, people have favorite smooth jazz shits, I mean, hits.
Then I heard something really great the other day. The only way I could describe this song was "reggae electronica." It was bad ass enough that I turned the radio off scan so I could hear all of it. After it was done, I patted WEMU on the back and said well-done to them...right as they followed it up with another favorite smooth jazz hit.
