First comes love, then comes marriage!

So I was doing this weird thing called sleeping last night. I'm not very good at it (poor technique), but I enjoy it. In a stage between wake and sleep, I had an epiphany. I told myself over and over in my sleep that I had to remember my epiphany because it was absolute genius. Absolute genius carved out of pure gold.

Now, I was bumming around in my kitchen, waiting for the banana bread to be done baking (YUM!), remembered the epiphany, and realized, I'm a moron.

This was the epiphany:
Someone and someone sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G! You know that little ditty? It's a propaganda piece. It's pushing other people's values onto our children, and we're reaping the consequences. I bet you anything - it's the North Koreans.

What agenda is it pushing? First comes love! Then comes marriage! Then come baby in a baby carriage!
Despite the fact it's pushing the agenda that you have to LOVE the person you marry, but also that you should be married before you have children. Most modern day couples don't get married until they get pregnant (begging and screaming not too..buuuut they do anyway, sometimes.) Lastly, it doesn't give adoption as an option? What are gay couples to do? Keep kissing in the tree for the rest of their lives?

This charming children's rhyme seems like nothing but a tune to taunt young lovers in 2nd grade. However, it's actually a mind warping tool, used to keep America backwards! Hello future! Goodbye Someone and Someone sitting in a tree! I suggest a re-writing...if I think of something I'll post it up here. Something more politically correct and valid to our generation.

So yeah, that's the world I live in when I sleep. Just thought I'd give you screw-heads a sneaky peek.
