I'm taking an Independent Study this coming fall. I am in the process of writing a proposal for it, including several books that I want to read for use in the course. The first is Paul Tillich's Theology of Culture". The second is William R. Herzog II's "Parables as Subversive Speech: Jesus and Pedagogue of the Oppressed".
