A great day for pancake women.
A bit late in the day, but Happy 100th International Women's Day!
I have created a blog post about some awesome female characters:
6 Female Characters who are not 'The Girl'
It seemed appropriate to post it today.
It is also Shrove Tuesday.
I think that must be a coincidence, because the Women's Day adverts I saw (on TV, with Annie Lennox and everything!) made no mention of pancakes.
Possibly they should have made a link there, because feminism and pancakes overlap so rarely (at least as far as I know). Then again, that might have caused confusion in the message.
I am not having Pancake Day today because I work late on Tuesdays and have meals at odd times. So I'm having it tomorrow instead and feeding people pancakes with a variety of fillings.
