Today it was one thing after another.
My first bus was late - of course services that run through town are likely to be delayed because
some guy can't decide if he wants to jump off a bridge.
My second bus had to stop because an accident meant emergency service vehicles blocked the road to work. So I got out and walked, after I'd gone about half way the road must have reopened and the bus drove past me. I ended up walking the best part of a mile. I'm surprised I was only 15 minutes late.
Then while I was at work not only was it busy, but various technical problems happened. Mostly involving interactions between PCs and printers, although there was a broken keyboard also.
I ended up going to lunch 15 minutes late because I was helping people print (this involved putting some guy's CV on my memory stick).
I called the IT support because a public PC wasn't contacting the booking system, only to discover later that turning it off and on would've fixed it. That is my normal go to, but the error message specifically told me to contact the system admin.
There were times today when I felt vaguely like an IT tech, but without the knowledge, or pay.
I did nothing that was on my to do list for today, which means that I'll spend tomorrow trying to catch up. It might end up that the Black History Month stuff goes up a few days late. Either that or those paperbacks will have to stay in the office.
Luckily I now have Saturday off, so at least I will have some rest time soon.
