So, yesterday yet another package from Amazon.co.uk arrived. I got to make my brother happy with a book on making virtual characters in 3DS Max (or something), which was nice: the one who gives gifts also is rewarded... :) I came across the same sentiment in one of the Pastel scanlation volumes I read last weekend, and also an explanation of why being able to quarrel with others can be a good thing. Been there, done that, but I guess some manga's are like first-intro-to-life / life 101... OTOH, better that than introduction-to-manipulation (Peach Girl vol. 1), and then there was that one by the same person who wrote Marmalade Boy; it was a different series, but it might as well have been called intro-to-romance or something. Guess that sort of thing is fine when you're first at the age when you need to know it, but that particular series was one I didn't get into...
Anyway, the other book in yesterday's package was Tsukuyomi Moon Phase vol. 2... Once again, that's not really an 'earth shattering' series, but it *is* one that's heart warming (like Maison Ikkoku, perhaps, or I My Me! Strawberry Eggs)... Guess my favoring such series means I might have a slightly frozen heart... ;)
Yesterday I re-read Parallel, since that's by the same mangaka who's doing Pastel... I am interested in finding out where Pastel is heading, so I figured reading other works by the same individual might give me clues... At least one scene in Parallel also seems to have been repeated in one of the raws I've got of Pastel (it's the scene where one of the guys gets tied up so he can't get engage in any kind of mischief: in Parallel it's so Hoshino can get some sleep without worrying, but I'm really wondering what Mugi did to warrant getting treated like that in Pastel... )
